On exposed form there is, but once Hughes, Gourdis & Putt have had the chance to develop like Moore, Will and McGuane have the balance maybe just about even. The way I see our list being put together, I don't believe we are after Buddy/Fevola type KPF who will kick 75+ goals a season. Instead I belive we are after KPF's who are capable of leading out, taking a grab and kicking accurately. With Riewoldt, Hughes and Schulz we've got exactly that.Fair enough. But...you're counting Schulz as a forward and not as a backman, and to be honest Moore, Thursfield, McGuane, Rance, Hurley >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Riewoldt, Hughes, Putt, Gourdis, and Schulz. So while there may be a balance in numbers, there is a bit of an inbalance in talent.
Meanwhile at the other end of the ground we'll have a backline who can stop opponents but can also create attacking play from the backline. To do that I think we would be best served by having Moore play off the HBF. For that to happen we would need a KPD come in who was 195cm & 95kg with very good speed. We can then plonk them at either CBH/FB, with Thursty in the other & McGuane as the 3rd tall.
Doesn't have to necessarily be Hurley that fills that role, it could be some kid who we pick up with 58 or even as a rookie like Will was.
