Has returned to form in the pura cup he scored a brilliant 144 in the first innings and a quickfire 61 in the second. What do you think his chances are of representing Australia 'A' in the match agianst India. Also do you belive Chris Rogers has the talent to play for Australia?

Hussey is a certainty for Australia A.

I'd imagine that he, Hodge and Love are the frontrunners to replace SR Waugh when he retires in a month or so.

Rogers played for Australia a last season didnt he? Id say he'd be a definite chance for an opening spot. Especially after ploughing the Tas attack in the second innings of the same match. Hussey a dead set certainty.

Especially considering Tasmania have the most fearsome attack in the country

Well he can only hit what is bowled to him.

But if you want to get picky, yeah, its just the Tasmanian attack which has seen them unbeaten this year, top of the table, with wins over NSW and QLD.

Cant be half bad.

Hussey is a genuinely talented cricketer who could play be well and truly good enough too play for Australia and do just as good as job as Justin Langer. I'll refrain from saying Hayden because I believe he is the best opening batsmen born on these shores.

Rogers is a battler who is making the best of his talents. Similar to Justin Langer, and sometimes pure determination just can't be beaten. I don't think he'd be too heavily in the selectors minds but if he keeps scoring runs he'll force them to think abot him.

Agree with the 1st comment, as for the 2nd one - Hussey & Hodge r clearly behind Lehmann, Love, Katich & Clarke IMO

Might be to do that this kid is a sensational player.
Question is: Does Lehman get another look after the injury or do they go straight with Clarke.
This all assuming that Kat holds the spot! And yes Loves been hard done by!

I would have gone straight with the Kid.

Hussey will play for the A team in the 4-dayer. Rogers may still be a year or 2 away.
