I do not care about Mags post tally. That is his business.

Cmon Dan we aint gonna listen to Always the One who has 16 posts to his name .... he has no cred, he could be just a creation of someone else.

I dont trust anyone until they start getting up around 500 posts.

Would you have greater respect for someone who has done 20 posts of quality or 5000 posts of fluff and crap?

What is at issue here is censorship.

On any site there must be censorship so that vulgar and strongly offensive posts are excluded and to protect the site from legal actions for defamation etc,

This is the same as society where police and courts are necessary.

The problem is that censorspip has been taken one stop further where content of posts and threads is being subjected to scrutiny based upon the opinions of a few, or maybe one person.

This is similar to a society that is controlled such as communist China, Russia or dictatorships and clerically controlled countries.

Now that never used to be the case. And what's more the vulgar and strongly offensive posts are largely being ignored whilst the ones that are not agreeable to the politbeaureau are being culled. This is a dangerous step.

I have no problems with mags posts, they harm no-one. Mags has been a good contributor to this site and at times has kept chat going like a moderator himself. There is no way he should be taking the flak that he has.

I have read with interest your posts and Mags' posts regarding the trouble in BigFooty.

I find it "interesting" that the person who told me to "f*ck off" and "get stuffed" in posts was not banned. The posts were deleted though one offensive quote was still contained in a post that had been quoted by someone else and in full view to be read by all.

I no longer post in BigFooty nor accept PMs, though I read the boards everyday and PM people on occasion.

Which makes it a selective and dual standard situation. ie nobody complains about a "vulgar and strongly offensive post" (and for most people they wouldn't because they are not offended) and it stays there, no problem but if someone complains about a very, very mildly abusive and non vulgar post then a threat is made by a moderator to ban them.

How can you condone that?

If you are a moderator on a board then surely it is up to you to monitor each and every post. Maybe there needs to be more moderators so they can share the task. But even then there needs to be a line drawn over what is acceptable bagging and what is a"vulgar and/or strongly offensive post".

No Darky what i mean is i dont trust them to be an individual until they have a x amount of posts. Most alter egos have 10 20 posts then there gone. Which is why i dont trust a new person until they have put in some time. However i treat them no different, if they post quality then i respond.
