Adam Cooney. this season Cooney has been our most accurate shot on goal with i think something like 18.2. That is a phenomenal record. He is cool and his run up is very composed and straight forward. Plus he is ADAM COONEY, who else would you want to kick it i mean seriously. Ok maybe Aker, but Cooney is just God around here, he would dob it.

Was thinking the same thing.

Adding to the scenario, would be poetic justice if the only game we lost all year was the north game. Johnno takes the mark, kicks the goal and sticks it up all the knockers.

But apart from that would have to say Lindsay Gilbee. Without question the best kick in the AFL. Next in line, Aker (big time player, for big time moment).

And finally who cares who kicks the goal, as long as the goal gets kicked id be like a pig in shit.

Its scary because I'm feeling nervous just reading this, I have butterflies in my stomach!

I think Akermanis would be the one you'd go for. Great kick for goal, big game player, big kick. However, I'd prefer a life Bulldog to do it. Last year I would have chosen Chris Grant, and really ou can't go past Johnno for spectacle.

However, there are many players I'd love to see take the kick, Minson would be great (we could say our key forward is so good, he won a Grand Final off his own boot), Gilbee would be fine, Murphy would be good, Cooney would be awesome and for a bit of fun imagine Lake kicking it.

Really, this should be a list of players who you wouldn't want taking the kick. As much as I love him, I wouldn't be confident if Addison took it, likewise with Farren, and both Cross and West would struggle with the distance.

Hahn, while I would be fairly confident he'd kick it, on the day I don't think I'd be feeling too good. Morris wouldn't exactly fill me with confidence either, while Wight is quite possibly the last player I'd go to, but thankfully it doesn't look like he'd play that game if we made it.

On the run though with 5 seconds left you couldn't go past Gilbee from 60 out.

May I also add, against Collingwood, 5 points down. Aker takes a mark up on the wing, siren goes, the Pies fans erupt only to have Didak run across the mark to celebrate with Thomas and give Aker a 50 metre penalty. Man on the mark is 45 out so Johnno is kicking from 52-53 and bang...the rest is history!!!! Cooney wins the Norm Smith to go with his Brownlow!!!

My only problem with that is imagine the backlash. That umpire would be crucified. It would mean that in many supporters eyes we won the Grand Final through an arsy decision rather than being the best side on the day.

I'd say Aker, then Cooney...I'd choose Johnson for the simple fact that it would be an absolute dream, but I'd have the most faith in Aker or Cooney...I can't even imagine what would happen if they missed.
