Essendon look set to break their pre-season duck with a victory over the Western Bulldogs in Bendigo on Saturday afternoon.



And after a dominant first half led by a 5 goal haul to star Bomber full-forward Matthew Lloyd, the Bombers are cruising with a 51 point lead over the Bulldogs at half time.



The only worrying news coming out of Bendigo is that defender Sean Wellman suffered a shoulder injury during the first term and left the field.
