This morning i got up at 4:00 to watch the replay of Richmond verse Bulldogs last year, If we cn play like the way we played in the first 3 1/2 quaters we will finish top 4 this year for sure. It just goes to show how good our guys can really play, For mine i think the best 2 players on the ground for us would have been Tambo and Matty White. I hope this year we can put the nail in the coffen and win games like that, Since we were up by 4 goals with about 3-4 mins to go. Proberly the best game of footy i have watched ever

I refuse to get over excited about our expectations for 09. For me, I'd expect to make finals, and I hope we put a good dent in it while we're there.
I totally agree that when we were playing our absolute best footy this season, we were able to match it with any other team in the comp. The thing we need now is consistency and making sure the gap between our best and our worst isn't so great.

I've been watching some old games lately too, the Hawthorn game and Round 1 vs Carlton.

Oh and went back a few years and watched some of the '95 semi vs Essendon

I wish Foxtel would play these games at a reasonable hour, they're playing 'oztag' at prime time ffs. oztag! Who watches that? That's what should be on at 4am, if at all.

Having the Bigpond connection I watch them when I want...and the quality hasn't been great until I changed to the new Google Chrome browser and I don't know if it is because it is now holidays and less people online, but the 2 games I watched last week were excellent without any freezes and even on my laptop screen was very watchable...might go and watch another one right now

Gotta love Foxtel IQ, I just record what games I want to watch. So far seen the round 5 bulldogs game you're talking about and round 6 vs hawthorn where we lost by 2 goals.

What is evident from these games though is we make so so so many mistakes coming out of the backline that cost us alot of goals. You would think you were watching under 16's sometimes. Once thats fixed properly we will be a gun team because in these matches we normally out posses the other team but dont use it as well as the Hawthorn's and Doggies, etc.

Ahh the 1995 Semi vs Essendon. It's the game all Richmond supporters would have in their top 3 games for RFC.

I've actually won over two foreigners as supporters on that game alone! Now they're die-hard Tiger fans!!!

A top game, also that one point thriller v Bulldogs at Telstra Dome years back when Browny was with the Bullies.... and a D Bourke took a screamer..... and some tool Ottens played well .....

Oztag... i'd prefer to watch that then see another Freo side crumble when leading well into a match!

O'Donnell on the half back flank, then Grenvold in the forward pocket...... SUPERB!!

Remember he snapped that goal from the throw in into the third term.

Third term was sensational. When Gary O'Donnell bloused it onto a stretcher and halted the game up only for the bounce to occur and Daff to kick a 65 metre bomb goal within 15 seconds....

That's it, I'm putting it on!!!
