Over the past 18 months since Craig took over as permanent head coach these have been our losses. Its quite staggering when you think about it:-

West Coast - 11 points
Western Bulldogs - 31 points (our biggest)
Melbourne - 24 points
Brisbane - 9 points
Geelong - 4 points
Saints - 8 points
West Coast - 16 points

West Coast - 2 points (again at AAMI)
Richmond - 3 points

Point of this - none really, I'm just think of things whilst waiting in LAX for the return to Oz (just back in time for the Brissy game on Sat night and I remember being there in 2004 - what a shocker that was) but it is an amazing stat considering we have not been thrashed in any game.

It is an amazing fact, think the last time we were thrashed was Brisbane in 2004.

Full credit to Craig and the players for total commitment and dedication to getting it right on the feild.

Seeing the World Cup is here then this thread about catenaccio is very appropriate. :)

another fact about this year, the two sides at the top of the table are both 5 points from being undeated?!? (west coast lost to freo by 5 points, and we of course lost by 2 and 3 points)

There is only one thing that worries me about that list. We lost to WC 3 times in that period, including a prelim final.

We are 1-3 in the last 4 games against WC and that doesn't sit comfortably with me.

On the flip side of that though, Port and Collingwood dont appear on that list once. You have to be pretty comfortable with that.:) Oh, yeh!

I'd also rather not have a bogey team, but then again, we were 1-8 versus North Melbourne between 1996 and 2000. The 1 was all that matters.

Yeah i read this in todays paper.. pretty awesome. Our only losses this year were by under a goal. It shows that even if we are gonna lose a game , we fight it out to the end and dont get blown away. Thats why we have a sexy percentage.

That does worry me a bit.. we seem to get cramped for space against the Eagles. Its amazing that in the minor round, we have beaten them at Subi and they have beaten us twice here.

Both grounds are very difficult for interstate teams to win at (and Port Power i guess re: Footy Park!)

all I see is a team struggling to get over the line is close games.

try opening your eyes then Freddie ;)

there is certainly more to see than that your negative comment.

(1) An amazingly consistent and competitive team. Leagues best without doubt in this regard - no blow out losses. Being the analytical type perhaps try compiling a 22 minor round ladder after tomorrows game and ask how many teams in the last 50 odd years have had a better win-loss ratio and %.

(2) We have also won a number of close games over this period - do you need me to list them?

Sun shining Crow Mos, WC starting, Crows flag favourites. Smell the roses old son :)

Among your many problems, is an inability to see the forest for the trees ;)

yeah we've won some close ones, and we've lost plenty of close games too. you wouldn't expect a defensively minded team to be blown away too many times.

talking to yourself again old son :D you know what they say about....

Crow Mos your last 2 posts on this thread have been a combination of overly negative views (as outlined in my last thread) and incorrect inferences above. The Crows have won TWICE AS MANY close games since the start of last yr than they have lost. Dont try and argue this point.

nb I have used 2 goals as my cut off point. Widen this by a few points and your point is even further off the mark

Another thing, we have only lost 2 games for premiership points since the split round last year. They were by 2 and 3 points. That is unrivalled by any other team. 18/20 is very impressive, could and should have been 20/20.

Losing to WC is a worry, but of late Embley has ripped us to shreds. Stop him and in effect we should be able to counter west coast (going by recent form....).

good point mate :thumbsu:

IMHO, to me this is an unbelievable time to be a passionate Crows supporter. It really saddens me that people like Crow Mos dont fully embrace all the positives flowing. Instead we hear factually incorrect statements like 'all I see is a team struggling to get over the line is close games' and him raising questions about the competence of our match day coaching. :( And then he couldnt even qualify how one identifies a match day move relative to pre planned move. Its impossible to tell in reality and I think thats why he ignored the repeated question posed.

nothing sinister intended old mate :thumbsu: certainly didnt want you to get physched out.

i am just playen 'tough - but fair - accountable footy'. if i feel you or others have made bad judgements then i will say so. Re why I respond to your posts, perhaps you make disproportionately more wrong judgements in my view :D But you do frustrate me how you 'go missing' when you get cornered in discussions and then fail to respond. OR failing to admit you were WRONG (The Fonz could say more of the word w-w-w-w-w-r-o-n-g than you :D . See above posts for some recent examples....

Weekend should be a goodie thanks mate. I do have some friends believe it or not! Still recovering from one too many last night and a dodgy curry from The Bengal Trader off Bishopsgate.... Dinner in Knightsbridge tonight. Tomorrow Hampstead Heath, Camden markets, BBQ at mates house in Shoreditch and then a couple of leaving parties. Sunday big sleep in and perhaps ferry out to Kew Gardens for a looksie (would you recommend if youve been there?). How bout you mate - whats on?
