*nods* understand that ... but ... umm ... well you know!

I would rather pick up used syringes at Flinders St with my feet than drive a cab. I can't imagine a more demoralising, boring, fruitless job.

Yep, I've had that recently. Got a cab back to where I was staying from Alberton after the Showdown post-match celebrations 3 weeks ago and the cab driver creeped the hell out of me. Kept calling me darling, sweety, beautiful.. made me feel very uncomfortable!
I had never been to Adelaide and he figured that out.. I was freaking out, thinking that he could take me 2 hrs out of my way and I wouldn't know.. I guess that's my country chick/city guy paranoia.
Anyway.. when I did get to where I was staying he said there'd be no charge if I gave him my number! I promptly got out and left the money on the seat. Dirty old bastard!

Other than that I've had no probs.. mainly because I never take taxi's at home as at most it takes 30mins to walk across town :D

I can't say I've had too many problems with cabbies, most of them are pretty nice. I had one who could have totally ripped me off in Adelaide, I went from the city to O'Sullivan Beach and really had no idea how to get there except the way Dad had told me. The driver said he knew a quicker way, and it actually WAS the quickest way.:p

Haven't had many problems in Melbourne either, mostly just cabs that take forever to arrive even if you've booked one for a certain time, stuff like that. But they're just minor things.

Yeah sometimes slow to arrive, true. Especially when you need 'em quick! And not just in peak times either ... but as you say, there's worse attributes taxi drivers can have .. turning up late ain't the worst of our troubles! :)

Ive had that too! It was so creppy. So I kept walking past my house so he didnt know where I lived lol He was sooo scary! asked me for my phone number etc! yucky

Pretty creepy for me too - I had to tell him that I didn't go in for those back door shenanigans ;) Not that's there anything wrong with that

That's pretty funny mm.

Funny story whilst I was on the bus this morning. Three kids had their skateboards and one of the kids accidently let go of his and it rolled away down the isle. The bus driver cracked the sads and told the kids to get out in no uncertain terms.

That was funny because the bus driver got mad.
