I can't see any point in keeping on the list, clearly only for tagging/negative purposes, but with our midfield influx and with good young kids in the Bullants line up like Blake Campbell and Kade Simpson, I don't think we have room for Franchina at Carlton any more. But I may be wrong ?

Dont underestimate Franchinas value. He is one of the few players that can harass an opponent for 4 qtrs, and get the desired results.
The reason he still gets games is because he has the smarts to understand his limitations and plays within them. We didnt win many games last year but FRAN didnt lose many match ups either!

Are you joking guys? A spot for Franchina in the midfield? No, he got regularly beaten... caused a lot of turnovers and was generally useless. Why have him on the side when our midfield might be comprised of Koutoufides, Campo, Hulme, Stevens and Scotland, rotating with any of Clarke/Johnson/Houlihan/Harford/Waite/Wiggins/Sporn. Don't forget that we'll have an up and coming superstar (probably either Tenace or Walker). Now, look at our midfield... do you thjink Fanchina will get in before any of those players?
He's a hack, had too many chances and has been on our list for too long. Pagan must see something in him since we are still persisting with him. I will never forget the job he did against Paul Williams. At most times, his opponents were in the top five in the best.
He does well against the Ronnie Burns types, and is arguably better suited playing in a strong team where he doesn't tag good players. He's useless in a team like ours - too slow and leaves his man too open. I'd rather have Fletcher and Plunkett instead of Franchina - hey, at least they made an impact once in a while.
That said, does the club still have the chance to de-list players this year?

WHAT IS WRONG WITH SOME PEOPLE!! anthony franchina is the worst player in the AFL with out a doubt and for us to still have him on our list is an absoloute joke! BUT there is still time to delist him to please Dennis do the right thing by the club!

In two minds here. Franchina should be gone but the fact we have held him for the first list submission may mean he is staying. After all he has played 100+ games for us and the club would want to give him every opportunity to find another club. By delisting him later, he can only go through the PSD and by then most clubs are full to the brim.
I think he is staying folks, maybe Pagan still sees a bit of Troy Makepeace in him.
