As you can see by my pic on the Bigfooty.com picture site, I have long hair.

Today, dad, out of the blue, asked me. What will it cost him, for me to cut my hair?

He offered me a trip to Melbourne
or a new computer
or anything around them price ranges.

Any other ideas of stuff around that price range ?
I want to milk this situation for all its worth!

unfortunately WCE won't be making the GF this year so I wouldn't be asking for a trip to Melb and 2 GF tickets.

Just checked on the Qantas site, a return trip in last September could cost about $800. What about a return trip to Thailand? A new computer would cost way more than the return trip to Melbourne. Maybe he would buy you a ticket to Europe?

What about get him to open up an investment account for you and deposit $1000 or so?

I reckon you should keep the hair though, it looks great.

I was thinking about Melbourne in a few different ways.
To see Linkin Park or Metallica. Seen as though they aren't comming to Perth. (Or maybe an eagles finals game, grandfinal or not.)
Holidays to SouthEast asia isn't that attractive to me seen as though i've done it atleast 5 times now.

The new computer..

Intel Pentium IV 2800, 533PSB
ECS All-In-One 533FSB SD/DDR M/B
2 USB, 1 10/100 Lan, 1 Parallel,1 COM, 2 PS2
8-64Mb Shared SIS AGP 3D Graphics (onboard)
AC97 16Bit Sound System (onboard)
56K V90 Fax/Data/Voice Modem Internal
20G ATA100 5400RPM HDD IDE
128Mb PC133 A-Grade SDRAM Memory
52X Multiread CD-Rom & 1.44 Floppy Drive
17" 0.27DPI 1024x1028Res Digital Monitor
300W Deluxe ATX Midi Tower Case
120W Amplified Multimedia Speaker System
PS2 Win98 Keyboard & PS2 2 Button Mouse

Bargin Price of $1050

Computers are dirt cheap now days, aslong as you steer clear of Harvey Norman and Co.

But i'm definately in no desperate need for a computer as I got this one i'm on now being a 1.7gig Celeron.

BTW. What dad doesn't know is that I was considering cutting it before he struck the deal. So its a win/win situation for me.

Not keeping the dreads, may look good, but they're a pain to sleep on/with, I'm dreaming of the day I lay back in bed without the hassel of tying them up and pushing them away from me.

Change the ram to PC2700 DDR, Hard drive to a 120 gig 7200 RPM and the video card to something decent.

Or, if you're content with your current PC, Grand Final tickets.

The dreads look great, Roo. But they'll grow back in a year. Chop it, get the computer and re-grow. You can stretch this into an annual gift. Completely renewable resouce.

Peace,

Peace,

Brilliant! Absolutely Brilliant!

milk it

Trip to melbourne, front row seats to metallica & linkin park, 4 star or higher hotel room, nifty new 'melbourne' duds, 500 bucks spending money.

Go out after the concerts, spend up big, impress the ladies and take 'em back to your sweet suite.

That's a heck of a trip.
