what you are all thinking about fridays game. how do u think u'll go. last year we shouldve beaten u but got to ahead of oursleves and expected to smack u since u were pretty crap. i really reckon we should win this time around wtih hird fired up after last week and lloydy on a roll we should get over u by about 3 goals i reckon. wellman is also coming back that will help heaps

As an Essendon supporter I can vouch for a number of Carlton v Essendon games I have been to that we have been expected to win with ease and got pumped. Do not underestimate Carltons ability to hate us us much as we hate them.
They always give us a run for our money no matter what the match-ups are.

Will be interesting to see how much of that Blues v Bombers hatred carries across this year from a Carlton perspective. It will be drummed into the players but when you consider how many likely players are new to the club this year, I am not sure of the intensity.

That's at least 10 out of 22 that have not lived and breathed that Carlton and Essendon rivalry as yet. I hope that the likes of Kernahan, Kouta and Campo really drive it home to them.

Good point. The Carlton side looks so different to me this year. Harford looks so wrong in that jumper. It must freak you guys out sometimes.

I reckon the fact that both sides have players from each others sides could make up for the difference intensity wise.

would be interesting to see how the traded palyers perform. I personally think that allen will be best on ground along with murph's. Essendon have not set the world on fire with their form although i do tyhink they turned a cornor last week. Could very easily have lost that one, but showed heart and spirit to go on and win it.

Hopefully the baggers win, but i can't see it happening.

Don't expect Wellman to have a large influence. He's come back from a foot injury hasn't he? How many games has he missed? I suspect he won't be 100 % fit, hence his ability to hurt us is limited.
