Listening to fox footy last night, the commentators mentioned how important it is for a sides chances in September to have a top intercept marker.

Up until ibbo got injured late last year he was probably the best in the comp.Hopefully ibbo can get back playing AFL footy and start producing the goods again.

Ibbo was great today and should be back next week.Played of the wing today.

Clancee and Ibbo were very nasty outs for us in the Grandy. It reminds me what a difficult job it is to identify young talent or alternately what a shithouse judge I am.
Watched Ibbo in his EF days and thought 'nice skills but never gonna be tough enough';exactly what I thought about MJ when I saw him play with the Indigenous Allstars.
I've sacked myself and moved on to save the club from any public embarrassment.

Yeh,along with Harry and Sherrif .

Ibbo didnt seem to have any worries with the shoulder, attacked the ball and tackled well
Should be back next week

I mentioned it in another post but he's best 18 so good to hear that as well as having some good stats today he did the job out there.

Ibbo and Suban have careers that follow a similar theme. When they play well -there spot is secure - then they have a few poor games and they are on the chopping block. I wonder, if Ibbo comes back underdone, then perhaps expectation will outweigh performance.

My opinion is both Ibbotson and Suban have a role to play in a tilt toward top 4. But if they have a few poor games, (especially when we are depleted) they look mediocre.

Very important. He was in All-Australian form last year before the Achilles injury.

Very important. He is a vital cog in the back 6. Ibbo is one of our kickers once the opposition scores a behind. Like Duffield, he is a good runner from the back 50. Considering Duffields has got 2-3 years left in him, Ibbos role is more important when he retires.

There's been a lot of talk about Clancee... has he really been that bad?
He hasn't been great. He's one that needs a long run up for mine as in sustained matches. He started the season miles off the pace, fumble and making bad decisions, he doesn't stick out as much now but he's still a way off his best. If I had to drop one of him and Sutcliffe Clancy would get the chop at the mo. Wouldn't do him any hard to play a few at Peel and build some more touch.

I might disagree about Sutcliffe coming out. He looked good in the Derby yesterday. Totally agree with scon's take on Iboo and Clancee being nasty "outs" for GF. Looking forward to having Ibbo back in, especially with Zac Dawson possibly being out this week.

Sutcliffe got a lot of it which is promising but disposal was poor at times.
