Ice Skating

Going Ice Skating tonight at Freshwater Place....
(only internet geeks like me go there it seems)..

Havent ice skated for years!!! Cant wait, has anyone skated there yet?

The last place I went Ice Skating was in (ironically) Queensland.

Have fun, but rug up. We don't want you getting a chill and having your weekend spoiled.

(At least you won't have to be at home with your housemates guests - good work on that.)

No, it wont be cold. Its only a small rink and apparently is like a greenhouse, actually quite warm... even though there is a freezer under the ice...

Touchy subject with me. When I was growing up there were no ice skating rinks in the area. This sucked, because much like Happy Gillmore - I wanted to be a hockey player.

Now, there are ice skating rinks all over place, and junior league hockey teams. I could go learn, but it's too late for me to develop pro hockey skills before I'm too ancient to play.

Born in the wrong decade, robbed of my destiny.

Amen to that brother!! I could have been a pretty good goon on the ice, but I was also robbed the opportunity by my government and local entrepeneurs lack of foresight to provide me with a rink to hone my prodigious skills.
