Richards Holland Lockyer

int: H shaw, D. Swan, Licuria, C. Cloke
emg:Obrien, Rowe/Rusling/Davies, T. Cloke
Notes:

Licuria- to be rotated on the ball as he will struggle to play out full games.
Tarrant-i wouldnt mind seeing him given chances on the ball and on the wing.
lonie- i feel as tho he is due for a big year, he has all the physical attributes and skill to be a very good footballer he just has to get his head right! and i feel with his height pace and accurate kicking he is best suited on a wing where he doesnt have to be as accounatble! if it doesnt work out for him then maybe play rusling or rowe.

dont know if any of this years draftees will play this year and have an impact but if we pick up hurn i wouldnt mind seeing him on hbf to start with and maybe a few stints on the ball!

Very nice....

somehow i think Rusling and T.Cloke need to be inserted somewhere.....

Very happy you included J. Cloke... i feel he needs to be in the team for more than MM allows him to play.....

Edit: And only obvious change i would make would be Lica on the ball and lockyer bench

i think lockyer will be back to his best next year! it has taken him time to recover from his knee reco. But he is a hard worker with plenty of skill and he will be in our best next year once again!

and to lonie, i dont think our pick 2 will play next year (thats if it is a ellis or a kpp) ellis has said he wants to concentrate on school and play for MGS. he is tiny anyway

Are you guys able to bring the teams from 1927,'28,'29,'30 out of retirement. Because with the side u have named you are in line for some early draft picks.

and your side is better?! you have an ageing midfield and ageing stars! you were lucky thsi year not to have to many injuries! your team is similar to collingwoods of 2002! ageing but good midfield, but the difference is that your not as strong else where on the ground like we are! you guys will be wooden spooners in a couple of years time!

I am actually a huge fan of Swan, and considering you pointed it out, It is clearly someone I have forgotten. 2005 he showed signs of his career heading in a direction, wheras earlier he was a fringe player who never got into full gear. Off the field there has been negetive's but on the field are the positives. Improvement and also maturity in 05'.

Well, when you look back at the years we made the Grand Final (2002-03) it was our big name players who performed and put in solid efforts. Rocca, Tarrant, Fraser are our 3 key players, and we got only 38% game time out of them all season (Fraser 388 mins, Rocca 400 mins, Tarrant 2054 mins / 2672 mins).

We ahve experience, along with players who are capable and have shown plenty of improvement (Swan, Shaw, Maxwell, C Cloke)

It's not a team that is a top 8 team, but with luck on the side of things such as injuries, it is possible. 4 picks inside the top 25 for the National Draft is also a good sign for the long term you would expect.

Int: Richards, J. Cloke, T. Cloke, O'Bree.

bit iffy (is that even a word!), backline looks extremely top-heavy, only one real small out of six!!

here is my go

FB: swan/lockyer, presti, maxwell
HB: clem, wakes, johnno

swan or lockyer picked based on form to play a shut down role on the oppo small forward, ie milne, davey, ablett et. three key backs pretty much a cert unless injured, maxwell shown enough to get the first crack & johnno to provide dash & run off the back of the square

C: rowe, carpet, racer
Foll : stretch, licka, didak

rowe looks a likely type on the wing, racer was probably our best player til he went down wit his knee deserves first crack (if fully fit) to run up & down the wing all day, bout time to throw didak into the middle, licka will be over his dodgy calf & he showed at the start of the year he is still a running machine, then its either carpet or tulips for the centre, but carpet is our best clearance player so get him in at the bounce then let tulips run around the ground!

HFF: tazza, t.cloke, holland
FF: bucks, rocca, carrots

rocca the monster in the square, tazza pushing up the wings, t.cloke learning how to play CHF, holland push into the middle, carrots play around the f50, bucks can do what he pleases!!!

bench
J.fraser, used as our trump card, can release him onto the ball as a goodes type for periods, throw him forward as a fourth tall if we want!
S.obree, still has a role to play
C.egan, looked miles ahead of l.davis in only his first year, could be anything this bloke & he is genuinely exciting
b.davies, give him a run

then back at willi

stick lonie on a wing & hope he earns a spot on form
put tex walker & brent hall as the two key backmen, hopefully one shows something
play C.Cloke as the CHF or FF to be a back-up for rocca or t.cloke

Rusling decide what we want to do with him, is he a leading full forward? could he become an awesome wingman like embley or burton but quicker??

then have h.shaw, l.davis, the booch playing midfield for willi to get run thru there legs, with flaps fanning rucking all year for willi

You guys are deluded if you dont think Leon Davis is in our best 22. Egan is better off in the Williamstown and hopefully his cockiness will be long gone. Hopefully we can get Selwood in the PSD.

Are we gonna get Hurn or Ellis with our #2 draft pick?

why do you want to remove egans cockiness?????its good, gets under the skin of opposition players & supporters, makes us even more hated! if he pulls off something flashy let the kid enjoy himself

l.davis should be in our best 22, he should be because he has been with us for six years & done absolutely nothing, him & lonie are back at willi until they actually earn a spot based on good form, why continually play leon when his form hasn't warranted it over six years, blokes like h.shaw, rowe, egan, davies all should be given games ahead of leon & lonie unless they are blitzing in down at willi

C: Burns, Jones/Hurn, R.Shaw

HF: Tarrant, T.Cloke, Buckley

FF: Didak, Rocca, Egan

Foll: Fraser, Licuria, Holland

Int: Fanning, Davies, Walker, Selwood (if we get him)
Em: O'Brien, Lonie, Rowe, C. Cloke, Caracella

Would like to see Burns and Tarrant rotate a little, as well as Fraser moving up farward with Fanning filling in for him.

Agree Egan needs to be brought back a peg or two, it's ok to be able to get it the hard bit is using it to your sides advantage. Wouldnt be getting Ellis Id be going for Angus Graham (202cm & 100kg??) for when we realise Josh Fraser is never gunna stand up for a full year ever again.
