Richmond should win their last 2 matches (Freo and Melbourne), and St Kilda should probably lose to Adelaide this week (Crows love Telstra Dome).

I doubt Collingwood will lose to both Freo and Sydney.

This means that, as the Richmond vs. Melbourne game is finishing, tons of Richmond supporters will be rushing to the Essendon vs. St. Kilda game to cheer you guys on!

Hope to see you there! ;)

I'm sure that's the players' sentiments exactly. Stop being so up yourselves.

Plural? Since when did one person count as an entire supporter base? That's what I love about big footy, the sweeping generalisations.

On topic, I actually don't mind Richmond, and most of the games you mentioned are quite likely to go the way you need them, however your great scheme falls apart at the point you expect us to beat St. Kilda. Not only do Essendon look tired (and some players look lazy), we have a ridiculous amount of injuries.

I'll admit that my statement was a bit of a generalisation, but it's founded on previous sentiments of that nature.

As with beating St Kilda, they lost to the Weagles and they don't have Milne. They're more beatable than you think. Having Hille out is a big blow, however.

Would be awesome for the TV to show Richmond supporters in their yellow and black supporting the Bombers. :)

Im sure we can fill out the stadium by ourselves.

Would love to knock the Saints out of the finals but they may well beat the Crows this week anyway. One week at a time;)

I wasn't doubting that. Final home game, plus Harvey's last game should make for a pretty full stadium. I can't see the harm in rocking up after our lot finish, though.

Would prefer if the ferals from Punt Road stayed away. The match will be to celebrate the careers of numerous veterans at Essendon. Of course the St Kilda component will be celebrating Harvey's final Home and Away game. Im hoping the Crows win this week to keep the possibility alive. A win against Freo is not guaranteed for you.

Considering we flogged them by 64 points the late time we played them (and that was at Subi), I think we can win.

Also, I can't believe that most of you guys are acting so negatively towards Richmond supporters. I'd be going to see Harvey off, as well as other long-time Bomber veterans. The Richmond thing would be a bonus.

Would it now? We dont want or need your support.

If the aforementioned happens, then you're going to get it, whether you like it or not.

Don't worry mate, I have a bit of a soft spot for Richmond and am looking forward to the yellow and black contingent cheering us on as well. It'll be interesting, that's for sure.

ETA: That's if everything goes to plan for you this week. Saints definitely can beat Adelaide.

Heh me as well. The Tiges are pretty exciting when they're on song, certainly compared to a couple of the other sides that we're probably going to see in September. I'm going to the game with a mate who's a Saints supporter, will be fascinating to see what he has to say if its us who knocks them out of the eight.
But looking at the odds for the Tiges I don't think its likely to happen. They need all four of the following things to happen: Richmond to beat Freo (85% probability?), Richmond to beat Melbourne (85% probability?), Adelaide to beat Saints (65% probability?), and Essendon to beat Saints (25% probability - we're just not going well but I never give up hope). I'm giving you guys an 11% chance - and in all honesty that is probably being generous.

Its not that I dislike Richmond, but I can't help giggling over the idea of them finishing 9th again.

Yes, I know, very immature. And not very nice either.

I hope everything falls in to place for Richmond coming into our last game and we lose by a point after leading by 5 goals at 3 quarter time ;)

Let's not forget who your coach is, and which team he used to captain.

Would like to see the Tigers in the finals if only to give hope to all the other mediocre teams. Don't see us beating St Kilda with our current injury list though.

Not all of us are that way mate. Good on you for having the guts to come in the Bombers forum and start a thread :thumbsu:

If you can get in the ground hope you enjoy the game, I would prefer to see Collingwood out of the finals and St Kilda and Richmond in, but you know we can't all have it our way :D

Yeah, but we have to rely on Freo for that to happen.
