MELBOURNE DEMONS! :)
Ok I don't know how cheesy this post is going to be, but I'm bored and in need of posting (only 100 to go till i get to 4000  )

This is one of those "let pretend that..." posts, so lets all pretend that we are playing in the grand final (I don't want any smart ass, non-melbourne supporters giving me sh$t over that line! ) and the final siren has gone with one team up by 5 points and the other team with the ball marked infront of goal.
Would you rather Melbourne being the team which is up by 5 points? or would you rather have the ball in your court so to speak and have the chance to win by 1 point with a memorable kick after the siren?
Also lets say Melbourne was the team going for the goal, which player would you feel most comfortable with? which current day player would you like to see with the ball? (if the kick is from about 45 meters on a pretty easy angle!)

Well thats it, a pretty lame post I know.... but hey I'm bored and I thought it might kick start some MORE posting (not that we need it or anything! ;))

I reckon its a great post Dees Rule, I done a similar post myself a little while back, so this one should be equally as good.

Congratulations on your 3900th, but to the question.

- I would rather my own team have the chance to win the game, because if they miss, you deserved to win the game. And Its always better to win the game, not your opponent losing the game. With your opponent having the ball in the same situation, its not really proving anything, because as a player, you need these sort of pressure shots for future experianes.

- From Melbourne, I reckon Robbo would just about to it ..... So From Melbourne I would choose Robbo, but for the Bulldogs, probably Johnson, Brown or Grant --- From outside 50 I will choose Darcy, because hes as accurate from 50, as he is 30 :)

Well thanks very much, I thought this was a good post... ;)

I would also like my team to have the ball in their 50 and have a chance to kick the goal, because if you were meant to win than you will, and you will get the goal. Also there is always the memory of that winning goal and all the glory that comes with it. Saying that I would, just like you, like Robbo to have the ball because he can certainly perform under presure and because he deserves all the glory! :D
I would also trust Brad Green, because he is a very good kick and very accurate and I think he too will be able to handle the pressure.

Words to live by. :D LOL

Anyways onto the question, which I actually think is a REALLY good one, very interesting!!!!!

If my boys were 5 points up OR 5 points behind towards the end of the GF I would be freakin out coz close finishes just really piss me off. TOOOOOOOO much stress!!!!!! :( Thankfully we didn't have that problem this year :D but I'm sure with all the GF appearances we'll have in the future, the situation will arise. :D

LOL, you realise you never actually answered the damn question! :D
Anyways I hate close finishes too, I would freak completely if we were in either situation but that goes without saying! ;)

LOL FINE I will answer the damn question. I'd wanna be the team with the shot on goal. Only if it was a good angle and we had someone good kicking for goal. :D And if not, then I'd wanna be the other team. :D

Simple.

Brad Green to have the kick, and I would rather be behind if it is an easy kick. If it is 50/50 best to be in front because nerves would probably get the better of them.

Yeah i was thinking the same thing. No matter how good the player is at kicking goals, the nerves would really be getting to him and if he misses, it could affect the rest of his career! :o :(
