You could go onto the main board and stir up trouble by explaining why you hate Collingwood. Otherwise patience is a virtue.

But I hate Essendon more. And I hate Carlton even more. Is that so wrong? I think that intelligent, reasonable, level-headed Pies fans do exist. I'm not so sure that that's the case with Dons and Blues fans. I think they're all loopy.

Tell me, is it acceptable to go to the footy tonight in your Saints jumper or scarf, just to lord it over the fans of the competing teams?

1. Not wrong at all, Essendon and Carlton should be right up there with the Pies.
2. They exist when outside of the football ground otherwise they do not.
3. It is not only acceptable but it if your divine right to lord it over the fans of competing teams as much as you are able since it is not exactly a common occurance that we can claim to be (one of)the best team(s) in a season.:p

Speaking of competing teams, one of the four playing this weekend is Adelaide. Does the idea of playing Adelaide in a Grand Final send shivers down your spine? Despite the fact that they are a pack of flat track bullies who we OWN (and who, I reckon, will lose to the Pies), the idea of playing them on the last Saturday in September terrifies me. PTSD.

I actually think playing Adelaide would allow us to extract some sort of revenge for the 1997 GF. Would be a unique opportunity.

You should go to the footy tonight Fez man and cheer when big hits are put on so they're getting softened up for next week.

only after living in adelaide does it because the feral bastards over here would be even more loopy for the period of a week which is too long :)

I suggest Fez that they will beat collingwood but that they're no match for the cats.

and i am bored as well. I think i will end up watching the 2008 nab cup final or the 05 final over here in adelaide to see that magical third quarter again.
But after 23 weeks i am coming into a weekend where i am not structuring my days around saints games and it's a bit sh!t!

I'm not going. Will be home on the couch with my wife (who is now home) but will definitely be baying for blood. I was just musing because, as I mentioned, I'm bored. And someone at the Saints game last week had a Geelong jumper on (which made me angry. Is that weird?). And in 1997 we played our prelim on the Friday night and my bros all wore their Saints jumpers to the Doggies/Crows prelim the next day. I definitely think you can wear your jumper to the second prelim if you win the first one. That's kosher.

Fez man, how will you handle things next Fri?

I have already worded up my manager that my productivity will be non existent due to a family commitment. I think the old fella things a little guide might be on the way.

Good question! Something I can actually plan. Think I'll get up early and try to do some work, at least until I hear the thump of the paper on the front lawn/garden/balcony/footpath/tree/window, then I'll make a coffee and devour the sports section.

Then I'll pretend to do work all day, leave for the game about 5pm, try to keep down some food, have half a dozen beers and live the dream. "Cancel my 8am Doris. I'll still be out celebrating".

Ther eis part of me thinking that if we face Adelaide, and since Darren Jarman has put on weight, Adelaide could pull a Stewie Dew and I'll have nightmares. Then another part of me thinks like L2M4G and exacting harsh vengeance for '97. I think the latter would win outright should it happen.:p

Absolutely, I'm still scarred from that day.

I don't want to think about going into a Grand Final against Adelaide. All logic is ruled out by the sheer panic of knowing how condfident they'll be in form and how they've crushed our dreams in the past.

That being said, I think we'll smash anyone.

I've been that bored I started photo-shopping Saints players.

Maybe some on here will get a kick out of them.
Don't be too critical, they're just a bit of fun, okay?

But this one is my favourite:)
