I'm really starting to excited about the Geelong game.
This could be the best H/A game of the year.

...I'm really jealous of all you Melbournites who can get to the game...hope the Pies really turn it on for you.

Carn The Pies

Will be watching intently for the "Red Flag"

The last time I can remember being this excited was when we beat Port Adelaide over there I think to guarantee a spot in the Semis...???

Wakelin and Lonie both played realy well...

Looks like it will be a very good game. Such a shame it's not on free to air in WA. Grand Final preview imo. Hope Collingwood win. Which they should. Good luck!!

2002?
When we won and got our spot in the prelim?

With Bucks out injured Licuria gave the then Brownlow medal favourite Francou an absolute bath.
I think Licca grabbed over 40 possies that night.

And who can ever forget that BJ tackle of Burgoyne in the goalsqaure, wow what a tackle.

That tackle by Benny Johnson saved his career......Great memories.

For some reason i am really confident as well, i feel as if we match up really well against the Cats and will turn it on come match day

it's funny,i have a confident feel about the Cats.Of late we do have the wood on them.
They are due for a loss so why not lose to the best team in the competition ---the pies.
So if they lose they will have a justified excuse.
On the other if they win,we will rip them a new one during the finals when we have bucks, clement, presti, rhyce shaw back in the side.
Outcome this week----------PIES BY 20 POINTS

Sorry for the intrusion, but to me there's never an excuse for losing. And if you guys beat us it just means you were too good. Simple as that.

I think you guys have every right to be confident. You're playing well, you're winning, and you keep surprising people. You aren't where you are on the ladder by accident. Trust me I'm not pencilling this one in yet. Very, very tough game for us.

I think we will lock them down, would be easier with a few senior players back but we mustn't moan about it. I'm confident, really confident.

I'm confident we will thrash you guys. Our list is too good, If we are gonna drop a game it might be next week against the bulldogs.

i really doubt geelong will thrash us, dont underestimate collingwood, i really dont think i have seen collingwood this confident and this exciting to watch (esp with some big names out) for quite a few years. Just love how collingwood is playing, team football and never say die attitude, we have hardly relied on one player to really carry us at all this year and its great to see. I am confident that we can match if not beat geelong. Looking forward to this game! It will really give us some idea about september. CARN PIES!

Collingwood this year are not the team you can thrash it's been evident we've hard nosed and always kept up with our opposition. I think Collingwood have every chance of winning as:

* Pretty much the same team we thrashed last year except with couple of new faces e.g selwood & Hawkins.

* I think Geelong might underestimate Collingwood's work rate and MM goes quite well against Geelong as well.

* Also Collingwood would have the edge from last year as I think the thrashing might be in the back of the mind of some of the Geelong players.

My prediction Collingwood by 23 points :)

Might make them come out all guns blazing though.

yeah, iam with you there, i just think we are very focused and there seems to be a tightness in the group, meaning they will back each other up and not worry about the score board

Thats the game Ron.....mmmmm.....what a great night that was..
sorry about the bad memory, but old age you know.

Maybe and maybe not things like that affect people in a whole lot of different ways anywayz besides it'll be a good match unless the umpires intervene the way they did last week

I think the umps would have been thoroughly "bitch slapped" after last weeks fiasco and we will see one of the least over-umpired games of the year..
I can't remember another time when even the media came out on the Pies side regarding "Bad Umpiring"
