Im 26 and pulling a pretty decent Bruce Doull effect. I couldnt care less though.

Not the picture i had of you Macca :p.......it was something like 40 + with a full head of greying hair.

Ive got the receding forehead at 38, but i'm pretty big built and have my head shaved. More intimidating in a criminal kind of way

That would/will suck, losing your hair. I'm 22 and still have it all happenin, but in time I reckon once the baldness starts it will be a shock to the system, probably depress me for a while... I wouldn't consider treatment, I'll just shave my head all the time.

a workmate of mine went to a place called NHI (i guess National Hair Institute?)

he had a full operation where they cut small strips out of the back of his head and move it to the front of his head. Not sure how the results will end up as it will take quite some time, but looking good so far. This isn't plugs. The hair will become normal growing hair after 12-18 months.

Don't get plugs. I haven seen others with plugs. Horrible!

Looks like dolls hair :eek::D

I'm receding at the temples, still have plenty on my crown. No jewish hat yet. Dont think i'll get one.

I chose to shave, cause its maintenance free, and looks bad !! :D

Im 23 and have started to recede but dont really think its that big deal - always had my hair short anyway. Go for a ride on a train and take a look around, almost every guy is losing hair in some fashion.
I dont think its that big a deal for women either, they grow up seeing their fathers bald, their brothers go bald etc.
I am curious as to how ponting got his locks back though.

How do you know?

.................Hey! Hmm. No wonder she seems so happy recently.

haha.
seriously though it's from the mothers side isn't it? nobody on my mums side has hair, even my mum has pretty bad hair. all my cousins on mums side were all bald young. The old man has more hair than me now I think and he is 60 odd.

Yeah, AFAIK you've got it right. It supposedly goes on whether your mothers father had hair or not.

Not exactly.

It generally goes on the mothers bloodline, but if you've got a Balding father or Grandfather - on the fathers side, you've also got a greater chance of balding as well. FWIW you've got a 50% chance that you will follow the same hair pattern as your Mother's father.

There you go.

It's a good thing males on both sides of my family have had a full head of hair into old age then.

Lucky for me then :p
My grandfather's 81 years old and is only just starting to lose his hair a bit now.
Must admit, mine seems to be getting a little thin through to top, although it's messed up and spiked everywhere I'm starting to see a bit more scalp through it these days. :(

Regain is best option if its just started. I started losing mine at 18 and didnt do anything about until recently. Go the regain it won't fully regrow it but it will most likely stop it.

I'm 39 and my hair is a thick and plentiful as ever....It's the hair growing out of my ears and nose that is shitting me...

Hearing blokes worrying about going bald saddens me...it's only hair..

I know I know, all very well for me to say, I have plenty. But really the worst unappealling thing about a guy losing his hair... is the guy worrying about losing his hair.

OK fellas going bald, deal with it and shave it off. Get a little bit of suncolour on your bald head, embrace the new you, move on and ignore it..

Hair growing out of your nose and ears, buy a nasal hair trimmer from one of the Shaver Shops (they're in NSW assuming they are in other states too) or buy a tube of Nair. Will take you five minutes each week to tidy up. You can also use them for shaping your Mo or Ziff.

44 years old, all my hair and very slightly grey. I love it!!!

My hairline's high but it seems to have been like that forever so I wouldn't say it's receeding. My hair is thick enough but I'd kind of hope so at 18.

This is exactly what I have, high hairline but almost ridiculously thick hair (Hairdressers hate my hair).

Around the age of 19 I started becoming paranoid I was going bald due to my high hairline...Almost 25 and it hasn't moved.

My father has a full head of hair and my mum's dad lost his hair in his 50's...Who cares if I loose my hair in my 50's. After speaking to many doctors the bald gene is NOT only inherited from your mothers side....If your father is bald you have a 50% change of getting it. You get half your genes from your dad and half from your mum.

I do feel for younger guys that start loosing their hair, from what I have seen chicks in their teen's and early twenties aren't very tolerant of guys who are balding...Luckily I have noticed that from about 25 on their priorities change.

The fear of balding did send me to the gym early in life and made me stay.....
