At least he tried to attack out of the backline with some of his "scintillating runs."

I thought he made some mistakes but he was one of the few who was pro-active. At least while the game was alive in the first half, anyway.

Bolton's stats today were 17 disposals (only J.Johnson had more), 9 marks (the most of any player), one tackle, and didn't give away any free kicks.

The only errors I can think of were a couple of clangers where he kicked it to the opposition. But as I said above, at least he was being pro-active, trying to create something out of defence.

Don't know what you guys were watching today. He was one of our best (which isn't saying much)

A couple of clangers. everytime he gets the ball, you can guarantee the opposition will usually get the next possesion.

But then you thought that Ewok deserved votes over Alessio last week.

crapness

We played ****en ****house,
was an absoulte shocker...I payed $17+ for that rubbish?
Still,I will continue to support the Bombers...but I am not going to call them the MIGHTY Bombers, because if Carlton and Richmond can beat us....we need help...dont forget the others teams who beat us :(

Go Dons rd 8 maybe?

Exactly Stealth, Bolts was far from the worse, and there are plenty of other players on the list who should be shown the door first. Bolton is in the side in merit, as opposed to a number of our senior players who are still being picked by reputation.

Old bloody Bolts. I have been a huge critic of the lad. He has been given more time than Lindy Chamberlain, this is because he was taken as a No.4 pick, Essendon (sheedy) did not want to have been seen to have ****ed up, so he stayed, by the skin of his teeth.
Ok so he has improved, slightly, he does provide run, he is the fittest at the club (he`s gotta be good at something), he is a " good clubman", he has his own " cult following" but there is no-one on the list who ****s things up the way he does, we all make mistakes, bolts does it with a splash of colour, eye catching stuff, bolts, learn your ****ing limitations son.

Where did I say that Ewok deserved the votes over Alessio last week? Where, woman?

I was being critical of you for being critical of someone else's opinion, and I stated that there will be good players who miss out on votes, beause only 3 can get votes. That was all I said.

If anyone is going to be critical of Bolton, there is no point being critical of him based on yesterday. Sohe had a couple of clangers. The whole team only kicked 5 bloody goals, so I don't think Bolton's mis-kicks should be the focus. As I said only one Bomber had more possies and none had more marks. Why not save the criticism for any one of 14 other players who did nothing yesterday? Bolton was one of our better players.

Delist the whole damn side. Can we do that?

I was just wondering about your signature. Do you think there is a problem with the way you play that ends up with such a lop sided count or are you blaming the umps.

Do you also think the bad tribunal record you have is a reflection on the way your players are told to go about the game?

Well, we have the worst free kick ratio in the AFL, by far, and have averaged something like 18-9 against the past five weeks. I'm keeping running statistics on it because I find it hard to believe we are that undisciplined as a side.

In one or two games (Brisbane in particular), we played a very undisciplined game and lost a bit of our poise. Easy to do when you are getting flogged at the Gabba.

But I don't think we have always been that bad. Some will say "if you were playing better footy and were getting to the ball first, then the ratio would be more in your favour". But in games where we have won and were first to the ball all day, we still conceded a significant number of frees more than the opposition.

It doesn't matter whether we win by 10 goals (see Anzac Day) or lose by 7 (see Saturday), the free kick count is almost always significantly in the opposition favour.

I expect to give away a lot of frees when the opposition is winning the majority of the ball. But when it becomes a weekly occurrence, regardless of the outcome of the match, that makes me begin to question what is really going on.

I don't believe the umpires are costing us games, and I think the whole conspiracy thing is probably a bit too cynical. Rather, I think the umpires have singled us out as being a dirty side, and I don't agree with it or understand it.

It certainly does. We were crap. But it also begs the question why you devoted a thread to one of our better players on the weekend.

Thats because Bolton's house is next on Drew's hit-list.
