I have a 10 year old imac, running OS 10.6.8.
For the last 10 years I have been using a MyPassport external drive for my back ups.
but it has stopped working. ive wiped it and tried again and it just wont work.
so, I am in the market for a replacement drive - I am worried that given my imac is so old and the OS is 10.6.8 (which is the latest it will run on - ie when I do software update it says none available), that the new MyPassport drives (and other ones I see on officeworks etc) will not work (some say they need 10.7.xxx or higher).
does anyone have any experience on this? any suggestions?
