Hey,

Looking to purchase the latest iMac 21.5" and I notice it says "100–240V AC" line voltage as a requirement. I don't have any powerboards around that are that low voltage. Is it a minimum or will any higher than that be fine?

Sorry if this is a really dumb question.

We accept your apology :thumbsu:

PS: that's standard, you're fine.

I got the 21.5", haven't had any issues with it as of yet - does what I need it to do. I'm thinking of upgrading in a few months to the 27" so I can play PS3/Xbox on it etc. For now though, this will do.

Just means the transformer is compatible in different countries, excluding the plug shape. Australian standard is 240v USA is 120v. Guessing there is sub 120v through Europe.

OP why do you want a Mac instead of a PC? T Brett bought himself a decent Asus rig, you could buy that or maybe something a bit cheaper and add a 27" monitor to that if you're after large screen.

How will you go about connecting those two to the iMac when it only has a mini-display port and the PS3/Xbox output to HDMI? Will you buy a DVI-to-HDMI adapter and a DVI-to-Mini-Display-Port adapter?

I've been using PC/Windows ever since I can remember, and simply just wanted to give something else a try. Like I said for now, it does what I want for now - which isn't gaming and just simple everyday use of the internet, and some already built-in applications as well as some others.

I was looking at a few videos of 'gaming set-ups' and some videos on how to connect a console to the iMac 27" and a lot of people use the Kanex XD which looks to be to go-to option. But like I said, I'm only thinking about it.
