Tennis commentary is terrible. It's just amateurish. I feel like I'm listening to an old fogies' radio station.
A couple of pearlers from Fred Stolle on Friday night.
During a women's match, he was talking about the challenge system:
"Gee, the crowd just love it - it really gets them involved."
Yeah - the replay on the umpire's monitor brings the masses to their feet, doesn't it?
Another was when he was previewing the Feder vs Safin match:
"Safin hasn't been at full force, but he's dangerous here."
Yeah - because Safin's record at Wimbledon is outstanding, isn't it? Especially when compared to his record at the US Open or Australian Open.
I look forward to Federer being referred to as "a genius" due to the way he changes his socks.
