A new league I'm running on its own separate site.

Unfortunately the draft has just started, and there's no more coaching positions available.

I'd get you in there if I could, mang. :/

I find it hard getting on to the BF site how the hell would i find another? :)

Well i looked in here for the OFGFL Rules and found a but load of crack.

Anyway looks as though we may have to introduce some.

Carryovers was mentioned in a thread and was said to be 5 with 1 a back 1 a mid 1 a forward and the other 2 whatever but must be a minimum of one in each zone.

So anyway this is some rules i'm proposing we look at and if you have any you'd like to put forth then by all means do it.

Team squads shrink to 25 total players maximum.

a maximum of one trade per week but the out must be the same position as the in ie (mid out mid in)

Every team receives one wildcard that can be played at anytime during the regular season up until Rd 15, which allows the owner to transfer up to 3 players from the uncontracted list.

18 regular season games and 3 weeks of finals (TBC)

Top six for the finals
a/ 1 v 2 winner to e/
b/ 3 v 6 loser out winner to d
c/ 4 v 5 loser out winner to d
d/ winner of b/ and c/ loser out winner to e/
e/ GF winner of a/ v winner of d/

All owners must declare a season captain at double score, if the Captain is injured at anytime during the season he can be changed at no points loss. The vice captain can be chosen weekly and will score at score and a half if the captain is unlisted or injured, a KPF and KPB will also be chosen weekly and will count as score and a half.

If you do not post your teams lineup before the specified time you will be forced to play the week befores lineup, if you miss 3 weeks in a row you will incur a fine (TBC) of points, if you miss 5 or more weeks your team could be sold.

Keepers will be 5, must have a minimum of 1 back 1 centre 1 forward.
Before we cut our players we can trade for a period of 2 weeks (only next seasons picks are allowed), then we will cut it back to 5 and start drafting. Once the draft is complete there will be a one week grace of drafting. Once the date is set for final team submissions this will end draft frenzy.

Does anyone else have any ideas or changes they'd like to put forward so we can vote on them?

I honestly think you are under estimating how many players we need for this game to work, i found i was cutting it fine with my list last year, with injuries and fringe players ect

That's why i asked for others ideas and what rules they would like to change or amend etc.

You jot some down and i'll add them to the list and then we can vote.
We could always bring in players of the uncontracted lists to replace LTI's without interfering with your weekly transfer??

I disagree... with some of these review... Boyd & Buddy are very consistent! Buddy gets the ball heaps at Hawthorn... & Matthew Boyd is a workhorse... I thought he was the only one wanting to win last season.

Dane Swan is only good, because he sits out of the congestion & waits for the easy disposal....

Whoever is Melbourne Thunder.... your a legend! Buddy is absolutely going to shred up all defenders next year... he will be training with Brian Lake alot... so then he will be use to taking on big defenders...

Uh... Yeah.

Josh P. Kennedy - 37 votes

766724-josh-kennedy.jpg Adelaide Spartans 2013 Best and Fairest - Josh Kennedy.jpg

Congratulations to Josh Kennedy on taking out the inaugural Adelaide Spartans Best and Fairest award. Josh was the absolute stand out for the Spartans in what was a disappointing season for the club. The 2013 Best and Fairest was tightly contested throughout the season between Josh Kennedy, Brett Deledio, Mitch Duncan, Jack Ziebell and Dyson Heppell. However Josh finished the season strongly, taking out the award comfortably by 5 votes.

The Adelaide Spartans would like to congratulate all award winners especially Josh Kennedy, Brett Deledio and Mitch Duncan on finishing in the top 3 of tonight's proceedings. Hopefully good signs ahead for 2014.
