Your OP, where it said we recruit an indigenous player because of the academy.
Don't put words into my mouth. That is your misinterpretation not mine.

All teams are considering the 'go-home' factor when adjudicating on picks. Does that mean they are 'Racist' because let's say a West Aussie side may not select a Victorian on that basis? We will choose an indigenous player because we have made a commitment to assist young indigenous sportspeople and extract a mutual benefit as a result.

A racist intention would be to target an indigenous player because....you..know.....their kind are more flexible than whitey's or conversely maybe we should stay away as they may go 'walkabout'. Racism is attributing capabilities or deficiencies according to race. End of subject.

Now on topic: Which indigenous players should we be considering?

So, having involvement in the Academy and furthering it's aims is racist:confused: I think you should rethink that statement and the attempt to derail this thread.
Nope I don't think I will. The OP clearly stated we should pick an aboriginal player to advance the interests of the academy. Players should ONLY be picked on their quality as a football player, and not the colour of their skin. That is racist. Perhaps it is you that should retract your statement.

best avaliable player to suit our needs if that happens to be indigenous player so be it if not i don't want richmond throwing away a pick for a idealistic notion.

Agreed.

Race should never be a factor in drafting.
