A reaper thought he'd confuse me and shoot me from the train tracks (They're usually top of buildings), and I was about to shock him when a train comes along and does it for me.

:)

Oh, I gotta play the demo, even though this game is a 100% buy, I have to see what it's like, I am dying to see and play it.Here's the rumoured stuff for the US Store(Some which will translate to the AU store too): http://playstationlifestyle.net/2009/05/20/rumored-ps-store-content-for-052109/

No games, but plenty of DLC and a Red Faction multiplayer demo(Hopefully not huge in download size as I'd love to give it a go because Prototype has pushed it out of my buy list ATM), I guess if the Cuboid DLC came out you could see and get that for some extra hours gameplay?

i didn't finish playing cuboid
i stopped about mid way through....EXCELLENT puzzle game

i'm not a big puzzle game fan but i wanted to give it a try and it did not fail

LOL, would've loved to see that, was like a GTA IV mission I was doing the other day at a train station, one of the guys I was to kill was on the tracks, I saw a train coming, ducked behind a bin and BANG, guy=DEAD!

Guess it depends on what the DLC would be though, few extra puzzles and maybe it would be worth it?

dude.....it's a puzzle game.

what else would the dlc be?
fps elements to a rolling/flipping rectangle puzzler?
I know, I'm just saying if you were going to spend your money on anything that might be worth it, the DLC would probably be the best option considering there aren't any new games.

yeh fair point...
don't think i'd touch it though since i havn't finished it pre dlc

Demo is Officially out for all, demo size is 1239MB(1.2GB), enjoy.:D

Will give my thoughts after a couple of playthroughs.

General thoughts by most are that it's a bit harder than it looks. Enemies are pretty good. See what you think HBK619

Well that was my main impression after playing the demo, was going to come on here and say that this was ****en HARD!

I think I died around 20 or 30 times(sometimes intentional just to see what happens, etc., most times not), the second mission was easily the hardest with the trucks with turrets, gatling gun enemies and just a general high number of enemies to kill.

Still working through all the powers and controls though, but it is very fun so far and probably more than what I was expecting.

Graphically I'd say it is a bit better than GTA IV(Which I consider the best open world graphics on a technical basis), have heard good news that inFAMOUS won't require an install either, the entire world streams without a load time once in game with only a smallish load to actually get into the world.

The powers, what there were, were very fun, loved the grenades and force-like push ability, can't wait to try the others and really start putting some combos together against enemies, loved some of the little things you could do, grinding on the power lines and train tracks is awesome and looks so cool, the glide ability is awesome if you jump off the lines you can get some good distance, having a choice on what to do to injured people on the ground is good, I really like how you charge your powers, clicking L3 to see the power sources and then going to one to recharge, really makes you think about how you use your powers and not to waste them.

Overall, from just the 1 demo playthrough so far, I am really happy with the demo and can't WAIT until the full game, especially after watching that Gametrailers review.

Think it was triangle to create a lightning storm to finish off the truck. That was wicked.

Down on the D-Pad, that was ****EN UNBELIEVABLE! That was one of the best things in that demo and should be once in the game, it really give such a sense of power as well.

A glowing 5/5 review from X-Play/G4TV, video section as well as written.

X-PLAY/G4TV inFAMOUS REVIEW - SCORE 5/5
inFamous will draw a lot of comparisons to other games of the sandbox type, and Crackdown in particular. Thanks to a more structured presentation and vastly more variety in gameplay, Crackdown may have to hand over the superbeing sandbox crown to Sucker Punch. Combining the freedom of Crackdown with the tight design and platforming of Sly Cooper, inFamous isn't just a great game, it's the best reason yet to own a PlayStation 3.

Then there are all the little touches that make inFamous a treat on a micro level. You have the choice to heal, ignore, or even drain of life the injured bystanders of your battles. If your fame level is maxed out evil, pedestrians will throw objects at Cole in protest. If you’re a hero to the public, they’ll throw things at your enemies, distracting them long enough for you to get a good shot in. Government propaganda and pirate television broadcasts duel for ownership of the public trust on TVs throughout the city. Cole’s “always on” powers will electrocute someone should you step in the same puddle of water they’re standing in. Where most sandbox settings feel sterile, Empire City feels lived in and believable, at least to the degree you’re allowed to interact with it.

The climbing is reminiscent of Crackdown, as it’s mostly just a matter of tapping jump until you find the right handhold. It’s simplistic much of the time, but it’s meant to be, as it’s basic transportation. A surprisingly intelligent autopilot system attempts to “read” your intentions while leaping and climbing, and is mostly successful. In the game’s numerous platforming sections, this makes death-defying jumps to tiny outcroppings and narrow pipes easy and intuitive. It can be a bit tough to fine-tune Cole’s maneuvers at times, as he tends to be a bit “sticky,” constantly grabbing for handholds. A tap of the circle button makes him drop down to the next lowest grip point, but it would have been nice if holding circle made him completely ignore grabs and just drop to the ground.

Climbing around Empire City is extremely enjoyable, and each of the three islands has a distinctly different feel to its urban geography. The city feels handcrafted down to the alleyways, and nothing feels put anywhere by accident. Sucker Punch has managed to make Empire City feel like a real place and yet serve the needs of gameplay without sacrificing one to the other. Some of the story missions play out in areas that feel as expertly designed as any self-contained non-sandbox game level.

I took Wolverine back to EB on Monday and put that cash towards inFamous... I was al pumped up for the release on Tuesday but that was just UK or US or something.

I've played the demo a couple of times and it was pretty bloody good, can not wait for this to come out.

Good Game gave it 9/10, episopde is on ABC's iView and it shows a bit more gameplay, although there are a few small spoilers.

Played the demo a couple of times, was a bit meh

Graphics weren't as good as I expected them to be, the powers were a bit bland, the character animation wasn't done as well as say an Assassins Creed.

Playing Assassins Creed, the motion of climbing and scaling buildings was fluid, whereas it didn't seem as fluid here.

Still, was ok, and will probably pick up the full version

Yeah EB games are n00b. It was originally 11/06/09 and then it got changed to 04/06/09 and people are only discovering now that EB have changed it again to the 11/06/09.

I got a call about 11:30am saying that it will be available for pick up tomorrow morning.
I really wish this game has co-op or some form of multiplayer.
