One more too and this is one in which he finds 0 faults with is Portal. He reviews it in The Orange Box review and it is amazing to watch, his one and only PERFECT REVIEW.

I agree 100% with him too, so much so that Portal is in my Top 5 games of all time (That or The Orange Box if that can be considered 1 game).

1...more...shard. I have 349/350 but... I've spent an hour looking for this 1 blasted shard. I simply can't find it! I don't get it, Everywhere I've checked, I even looked at the map for the ones that look hard to detect, it's just so bloody hard to find it.

I played for a bit tonight and managed to get the final stunt. Also need just 6 more Shards and I am 99% sure they are on the final island as I checked to see how many were on each island and made sure I had all shards from the first two islands before I collected a single one on the third. It has been easier than I thought (collecting the shards) so far but I did start a new game as Evil on Hard and checked all the time, as soon as I saw a blue dot I got it straight away.

I'm sure the final 6 will be difficult but at least I'm down to the countdown.
 
Now I've spent about 5 houres total looking for it and no luck. I wish I could AT LEAST know which island it's on because it feels like I'm searching for no reason. I decided to print out a helpful IGN map that had zones all over the City and listing how many shards there are in each zone so I'm going over every single one until I finally get it.

If you're finding the shards for historic district, be aware, there is one pretty far in the water, which you get by jumping the wood.
 
Yes!!! I don't know how I found them so quickly but I just went and found all 4 of my last shards in 30 minutes. :thumbsu:



GrandBlue: 1 shard which I just fluked at the end is right next to the blast site on the tallest building with the pointy top on it against the railway line. The blue dot doesn't appear until your at least 2/3 up it so it may be the shard you are looking for...

You mean the building that tilts? I've got that Shard and I climbed it 5 more times just to check if I missed anything. I reckon the last one I'm missing is somewhere camoflauged in the water... or I don't know! It's driving me insane! I'm currently looking in the Warren because it's the last place I decided to search from the start... I'll take your advice anyway and check the building again.

Hmm... Actually I have an idea, every time I found a shard, I always ended up finding any shards close to it so now while I'm looking at the map, I've noticed a stack of shards in pairs but because I only have 1 left, there wouldn't be any more pairs left, meaning I should go for the singles that stand alone, preferably by a long way. I used that to get my 349th shard which was far out in the water.

It's like GTA/SR2 where you finish the game but still get to roam the streets.

The first time I finished it I went back to look for all of the shards but that was very difficult.. so decided to look for the shards when starting my new game as a villain on hard. God damn some of the bad side missions are tough.

I found 4 very quickly just then so I only need two now but one thing that annoys the living **** out of me in this game is that I can be on the starting island and want to get to the final one.

I get on to the second island, random ****wits with rocket launchers come out of nowhere and kill me and then I am at the bottom of the first island? Why the **** don't you put me in a medical clinic on the second island you tools?

If you haven't restored electricity to a certain area, there is an absolute flood of enemies waiting to rip you apart so you have to be careful. Also if you want a medical clinic for another island you have to do sidemissions for the doctors who are usually found on the piers and they always wear an orange jacket.

Oh and I finally found that last bloody shard. I finally have 2 Platinums in the cabinet!
 
Congrats on the last shard.

This is my second playthrough and I only have a few missions to go, all electricity has been restored and I made sure I unlocked as many medical clinics as possible but it didn't help in this case!

I need 2 shards, then complete the game on hard... and I still need the trophy for killing dudes on top of a train.

The trophy where you have to kill people while on a train is really hard if you don't get it while doing the train missions because after you fix the trains, they start moving really fast and shake a lot so it becomes very hard to even get a kill.

Oh and checked the big tilting building at historic district yet? That one is easy to miss if you've never climbed it before. There are also some shards very far out in the water that get camoflauged. If you've cleared all that up then I suggest simply browsing around all the cities or just one if you know for certain that you've finished a certain island.
 
Yeah mate I did scale that tilted building, I'm pretty sure the remaining two are on the final island so it shouldn't be too bad. I will just have a look when I'm doing the various missions and one might pop up. You mentioned earlier about the bunched ones... when I played yesterday I found 1 straight away... and there were 3 or 4 right near it which I was stoked about.

I did try and get the trophy on the first island but after the train mission.. **** that was hard.. hard just to get one kill. I haven't got the trains going on the 2nd or 3rd islands yet as I have skipped most of the side missions so might have to give that a crack. I didn't get 25 kills on the first play through so it is a lot harder than it sounds.

Trying to really prolong this game, only up to mission 29 on the second island. It's really killing me because I really want to get the plat, so far I have 35% trophies.
 
I am up to the final boss on hard and I can tell you it is the biggest load of ****ing horse shit I have ever seen in my life. In fact I would almost say it is borderline cheating. I am scraping through to a check point every 100 times I die and sometimes you have absolutely no chance.

That punch he does, which doesn't touch you, you can not avoid that and sometimes it is instant death? Trying to avoid the various ****ing attacks that he simultaneously throws at you I try and run around.. and oh wait there is a magical boundary where he can stop you and throw you back in? I understand you can't roam the streets but the way they have done it is just plain ****ed. For starters, why can't he just toss you around like a ragdoll all the time? Secondly, I LOVE it when you touch magicboundary and get thrown straight into some landmine things he chucks, yeah that is awesome.
