We not talking about his personal life, we are talking about influential musical artists, and Michael Jackson is right up there with the best of them.

He's probably the biggest and best solo performer of all time and that includes Elvis ! Thats my opinion, MJ's music is awesome, his personal life though......

Frank Zappa is one of those artists (like Enrico Morricone or Serge Gainsbourg) with such a large and diverse body of work that it's hard to know where to start. I've tried listening to Zappa, but I've never managed to really get into his stuff....maybe I've just started in the wrong place. I say this because one of my friends has tried to get into Gainsbourg, but couldn't really get into his music until I pointed her into the direction of Historie de Melodie Nelson.

I've also been listening to a lot of jazz/samba music....PolyGram re-released many Astrid and Joao Gilberto CDs in these cool digipacks.....there is also a brilliant CD that has Stan Getz working with the Gilbertos.

OH yes, Stevie Wonder.....have you seen Hi-Fidelity where there's a line about "good Stevie and evil Stevie"?
