Anyone know how Murphys ankle is? I believe he hurt the opposite one to the one he injured previously.
And Daniel Haines was reported in the Worst after the Alice Springs game to have injured his knee again. This is a bit more of the Worsts useless, incorrect reporting because he hurt his ankle, which apparently isnt too bad.

Murphy came back on after a short stint for his ankle on friday night. He should be ok.
have heard nothing at all about Haines so far this pre season.

thornton played friday night but only the last half.He got through it ok and did pretty well.
Ripper I hope you are right about Dessie. He needs to give us something

Shame, if he doesnt get a game by seasons end he'd be a prime candidate for delisting. Might be tough to do mid way through the year without fitness, barring a mass of injuries.

If he was re-drafted, he should be a on a two year contract. I would love to see him just get a decent run of games to see what he could do. When he has played he was a tackling machine, and usually quite composed with the pill in his hands and very skillful off both sides.

I agree with you both voodoo and dr dagg.
He rarely let someone break free of his grip and he used to look like the world around him was going at half speed when he had the pill.
Yep, pretty hard for him to get another game only coming back with half a season to go.
Shame.

He looked the goods before that adelaide game :(

Never saw him at Peel but was supposed to be doing really well, hope he gets another chance.

Of the injuried players we have I count 5 who would be in our first 22.

FREMANTLE
Robert Haddrill (ankle) 2 weeks
Daniel Haines (foot) 6 weeks
Roger Hayden (hamstring) 1 week
Luke McPharlin (hamstring) 3 weeks
Michael Warren (foot) 7 weeks
James Walker (leg) 3 weeks
Matthew Carr (foot) 3 weeks
Ryley Dunn (knee) 3 weeks

With Brisbane's injury list how many would be in thier first 22 ?
BRISBANE
Tom Logan (shoulder) 3 weeks
Luke Power (hand) 1-2 weeks
Richard Hadley (knee) season
Jared Brennan (quad) 1-2 weeks
Jamie Charman (leg) test
Chris Scott (hamstring) test
Llane Spaanderman (shoulder) 5 weeks
Michael Rischitelli (quad) 1-2 weeks
Luke Forsyth (groin) 2-4 weeks
Beau McDonald (knee) indefinite
Nigel Lappin (knee) test

I'm trying to get my head around our depth compared to Brisbane's.

If we have 5 of our top 22 injured and still put up a good show against Brizzy it says a lot for our recruiting dept.

If we get belted then we have deeper problems than i imagine.

Not only do Brisbane have 7 of their best 22 under a cloud on that list (and Mal Michael might not play this week) but they have several quality players in their 22 who are clearly near the end of fantastic careers (eg. Voss and Pike). Considering they also had some champions retire last year you can understand why they are struggling, and really we should win by 5 goals + this week, although any win will do.

He definately said Lappin unlikely and Power would probably fly over (I thought Power was still a few weeks away). I didn't hear him mention Scott.

Steven Icke was quoted in the Herald Sun, on Tuesday I think, as saying that Dunn has a low grade medial ligament strain and 3 weeks out is a conservative estimate. Suggested he could be back sooner.

With two more players getting the chop for the weekend, do we jave enough fit players to name three emergencies.
looks like peake will finally get his chance.

Macca's got a fractured cheek bone after copping it in the face from Sandi's elbow during a ruck training drill.

MJ has rolled his ankle, will likely be out for a week at least.

Benet Copping, come on down - all 70kg of you. BBBBBBBBBBBBBazza awaits.

At least Sandi has started throwing himself around, using his weight and hurting people. Now all we need is for him to start doing it to the opposition more.

With the injuries & disciplinary action this week...emergencies are going to be very very diffilcult.

IN: Gilmore, Peake, Smith, Woods
OUT: Johnson, Dodd, Polak, McManus

Emergencies.....??? Anyone's guess, of the fit players we have, we only have Browne, Stribling, Copping, Campbell left for the 3 emergencies.

Rookies that can be elevated Duffield, Krieger, Juniper - all no chance of playing

Stumbled across this site, not sure on its accuracy on a daily basis but the information about sports injuries in general can only be good for people who are still participating in any sport.

I've added it to my bookmarks.

Injury update

Well going on that site we should get quiet a few back.
Problem is, none have match fitness.

We need to win this week or it's all over, but it's very risky bringing back those players.
