Doc Larkins on Triple M just ruled David Hille out of the Anzac Day clash, and also says Jetta will miss. Although there is some good news with Hird and 80% chance (he will definately play) and that Fletcher will play as well.

What are your thoughts on who will come in to replace Hille and Jetta, and if Ryder will play in the ruck on Anzac Day with Hilles injury.

Sheedy needs to put the heat on Laycock now.

Let him know that he needs to do the majority of the ruckwork on Wednesday.

It's now time for you to put your hand up son and play the game we need from you.

Jetta will be easily replaced.

Spot on! Shame about the kid, wouldve been great for him to witness the most exciting H & A game on our calendar.

JJ, and probably Hislop or Dempsey. Hopefull Winderlich is alright to come back for the Anzac clash aswell (probably at the expense of Dyson).
If Winders is fit he will come in instead of these 2. We will not make 3 changes to a side that won by 31 points If he isn't fit, expect to possibly see Bolton.

Winders may not be ready , the word around yesterday was he wouldnt come up for Anzac Day either.

Could Laycock handle being in the ruck 80 - 90% of the game with ryder filling in when Laycock needs a break, is he fit enough to play the full game in the ruck? Or would we need to bring in someone like Bradley (i hope not) to share the ruck load?

I think Bradley will come in. Has been reasonably good for Bendigo.
Lets wait and see how they all come up. They have specialized rehab tommorow.

jj is a good player but why would u drop dyson for jj if that happens sheedy should go with him. i think that a first gamer will come into the side for jetta.

I reckon Demsey needs for Jetta.

Havent seen much of Demsey this year, really cant wait to see how much he has changed since last year.

Not much , if anything he is a fraction taller but he is still skinny. Played ok in the second half last week but he was average before half time and turned it over a few times. Hislop and Houli would be in front of him on last weeks game.

He's not AS skinny though is he? He was 68kg when drafted and now he's up to 77kg which is 2 kg more than Lovett. That's just about right for a fast, speedy running player isn't it?

After todays game, I'd probably do the following:

Out: Hille, Jetta, Heffernan
In: Bradley, Houli/Hislop, J Johnson

I'd put either Houli/Hislop in for Jetta. Who's in front between those two would depend on this weekends Bendigo game. I don't think Dempsey is 100% ready to play in the seniors yet - another week in the 2nds won't hurt.

Heff's was fairly quiet today. JJ could come in for him.

He had 9 tackles though. I think he should stay in for now. JJ and Hislop/Houli coming into the side i wouldn't mind, but i don't want Bradley in. Surely Ryder could go part time in the ruck with Laycock, they havn't really got a 3rd tall for him top play on, so we could afford to put him in the ruck i think. Plus Rocca is on report (unlikely to get suspended, but a chance i guess) plus quite a few injuries. Its looking good for us.

tell me am I right in recalling that Laycock played a blinder on ANZAC DAY 2 years ago as a kid ?????

maybe he just needs the big stage again ????

Good point... JJ could come in for someone like Slattery - but I thought he showed some positive signs today. John's is another, although he did create a few problems since they didn't have an ideal opponent for him... but unfortunately not in front of goal. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of Kepler Bradley either, but he is a tall who can slot into a few positions, and is probably best suited to cover Hille's absence.

Definately not slats, he has been great this year imo.
