I hope to god that Hartlett gets suspended he is so crap and i cant beleive Jordan Banister was playing total dud. I hope carlton gets rid of Banister, Hartlett and maybe Jackson or Edwards (have nothing against them just not ready for afl standards) and puts Hampson, Kreuzer, Russel and Pfeifer back in. And one thing that really annoyed me from watching the game last night was that Jamieson was playing on the best forward they have got. Bloody O'hailpin should be playing on him from start to finish. My team for round 2 would look something like this.

FB: P.Bower S.O'hAilpin M.Jamieson

HB: B.Thornton J.Waite H.Scotland

C: M.Murphy A.Carrazzo K.Simpson

HF: R.Houlihan M.Kreuzer B.Gibbs

FF: E.Betts B.Fevola J.Russell

RR: S.Hampson C.Judd N.Stevens

INT: A.O'hAilpin D.Feifer A.Bentick C.Cloke R.Jackson

And hopefully Fisher can hurry up and come in so he can let Gibbs run free in the mid.

Is Joe Anderson injured or just waiting for a chance?

He's a local lad up here and I know the family.

If he's fit get him in there Blues, the kid has got HEART and will have a decent crack. I won't go the cheap shot regarding the efforts of several second and third string players last night.

At least Stevens did good, he's my DT Captain:thumbsu::)

I think Banno will go out this week, not because of his performance last night, but because of the match ups. Banno excels at locking down over sized mids like Cornes or Delideo, but from my quick look at the Saints line up they really don't have a player in that mold.

We could have used 5 on the bench but I dont think the AFL would allow it.

I like Edwards and would keep playing him.

Put in Armfield besides being quick and solid skills, he can bloody tackle.

Our tackling was terrible last night, we have Melbourne Storm sharing the Princes Park facilities and it looks like we haven't tried to use a specialist in this field for this skill??

Harlett did well at CHF christ he has hardly played any senior football and was pretty solid... showed more than JK ever did

Kenneth your a tool, Bannister played well last night, as did Hartlett, showed a lot of promise and gave me hope.

Either watch the games or don't post..you clearly are just jumping on the 'Bannister is crap bandwagon' thinking it will score you points...seeing as you watched soo much of the game, im suprissed your not also saying how crap Saddington is, and that he lost the game for us last night

After last nights performance, Bannister deserves to keep his place in the team.

EDIT I just looked closely at your team, so basically in our forwardline, the only notable goal kickers to give it to are Fev, Betts & a first gamer in Kruezer..God help us! Also we will be taking in 4 rucks for the game will we? Leave this for people that know what they're talking about mate.

Out: Hartlett, Betts, Grigg
In: Hampson, Kreuzer, Bentick

B: Jamison O'hAilpin Thornton
HB: Scotland Waite Bower
C: Simpson Murphy Jackson
HF: Houlihan Cloke Gibbs
F: Edwards Fevola Carrazzo

Foll: Hampson Stevens Judd

I: Bentick Hadley Kreuzer Bannister

Jackson needs to be used more in the midfield. Has a big motor and we need to utilise that.

I too think that Bannister did a pretty good job last night, but if there is no role for him to be played next week, then we shouldn't play him.
I would like to see Hampson, Kreuzer, Bentick and Pfieffer come into the side next week.
It looks like Hartlett will be going out of the side, and Grigg, Jackson and Bower to follow.

Out..Bannister, Betts , Hartlett (suspended) Grigg
In....Hampson ,Kreuzer, Bentick, Armfield

I havent been to training for some time but im hearing that armfield has great quick pace and good skills. Maybe give him a go in place of Betts who clearly doesnt deserve a game.
Bannister i dont see a much up for this week but did alright last night on deledio. Hartlett is gone nuff said.......and Grigg i would drop.
Hampson & Kreuzer must come in if available for rucking and forward options.
Bentick is our best tackler and has the mongrel we lacked last night.

r u drunk. if bannister was such a good player then why is he constantly in the ants. bannister plays 1 maybe 2 good games a year and you rate him in our best 22. ur an idiot. and btw houlihan's original position is in the forward line so that makes 3 good targets in betts fev and houlihan to kick to. and surely you dont think that carlton are dumb enough to put kreuzer in the ruck alot this season. and btw i did watch the game and hartlett knocking some guy down to the grownd just shows what type of player he is. i would rather saddington anyday over bannister in our defence and im sure theres plenty of us who agree.

In: Hampson, Pheiffer, Fisher (If ready - If not, Kruezer)
Out: Grigg O'hailpin Hartlett (dissapointed)

Was close to leaving out Betts, I don't think he should have a guarenteed spot in the team just cause he's our only small. However after re-thinking the match, One thing Betts does do is create a bit of pressure in the forward-line, he's the only one basically that chases players hard in that part of the ground, and we cant afford to lose that.

Even if Kruezer is ready, dont won't to bring him in unless Fisher isnt ready. It was clear last night we have a lot of players under-done, we don't need to add in another who hasn't played a game yet.

I chose O'hailpin for the same reason..not too sure if its still an issue, we already have enough players ou there that arent 100% without adding another.

Couldn't decide who to take out for Pheiffer, went for Grigg as he has been ok/good without being great. Not saying Pheiffer will be great, but we need to give him a run.

Out
Hartlett: suspended
Betts: Looks slow...still quick over 10 metres but otherwise can not keep up. I would rotate Gibbs and Houlihan through the pocket. Maybe Ellard?
OHailpin: Looks out of sorts. Probably only played because the other rucks were out.

In:
Hampson
Kreuzer
Pfieffer - injection of skill and toughness.

Also thinking about Ellard as a possible inclusion for Betts. Can play pocket and has good tank.

Would keep Bannister - his decision making is terrible but he can lock down a variety of players (tall-small, strong-fast). He can also play the entire match, which means more bench rotations for other players. Can see him playing off and on until Walker gets back.

I think bench management is going to be crucial in the first few weeks as Judd, Stevens, Hadley, (Bentick, Hampson, Pfieffer if they play) hit their straps. Would also look at putting more running workload on Carazzo and Jackson by playing more in the engine room.

Out: Hartlett (suspeneded)
Hadlee (looked way too underdone)
Bannister (can't find a suitable matchup against the saints)
Betts ( if they aren't going to play him in the midfield for spurts may as well have someone like Jacko who can kick 1 or 2 goals and rotate through there)
In: Pfeiffer (need a hard at it defender)
Bentick (really missed an in and under midfielder)
Hampson (my God we missed a ruckmen. i'm sick of our mids having to shark)
Kreuzer ( if Fisher isn't ready, to be played at CHF. as much as it sounds silly, we really missed him and Fish last night. broke down across the half forward line way too easily.)

Bannister only made one real mistake that stood out to me. the pass to judd in the middle that got cut off in the last quarter and a subsequent tigers goal. Other than that, he played ok i thought.
he seems to be the whipping boy of choice with many blues fans.

Mate your an idiot, right now I am stuggling to find a decent 22 after last night. Whether or not I rate him in our best 22 is irrelevant, he playd last night, and based on that performance, he should get another run.

For you to single out bannister as the worst player in our team last night just goes to show how little you either watched the match, or know about footy. You like to jump on bandwagons obviously, so why not switch and become a Geelong supporter.

As for Hartlett, you, along with all of us, should be crossing our fingers for the future success of this guy...unless of course you know of another CHF and FF coming through that will make up our forwardline in 5 years time?

As for bringing in Kruezer, he will get a run at some stage, but as i have said, I am not keen on bringing in people who are not 100% unless they are vital to our team, and a first gamer is not.

Again, if our targets are Fev, Betts and Houlihan...God help us!

Some of these Outs and Ins are a bit crazy.

You cant just take out who you think were the worst 4, and bring in who you think are the next best 4. Its about team balance..if you are going to take out two potential backs in Grigg & Bannister for example, please dont bring in Armfield as their only replacement

Likewise with the forward line

Hartlett was disgraceful last night - he showed nothing and didn't do a god damn team thing.

Bring back Wiggins! Atleast he would have gave it his all and he always does the team things.

Despite that silly kick from Banno when the game was still in the balance to Judd in the centre (turn over), he did well on Deledio, must keep him in.

If I had to chose anyone, i'd probably remove Hartlett for someone like Hampson or Aisake.

Out: A. Hartlett
In: A. O'hAilpin/S. Hampson
