For me

INS: Mcphee, Winderlich & Cartledge

OUTS: Laycock, Bullen(why the hell did he get a game in the first place) and Bolton

If Mcphee's hasn't recovered bring in Richards.

No point in dropping CJ after 1 game give him another 2 weeks in the 1s.

Yeah, It was stupid to even bring him in. Big fellas are hopeless in the wet. Give him another go.

Guys like Stanton, Dyson , Bradley, Winderlich and even a Nash need to play every game for the rest of the year regardless of form. We need to get as many games as possible into the blokes that will be carrying our midfield 2006 onwards.

Sheedy said yesterday that every player on our list will play this year, providing form warrants.

I hope that includes Adrian Wilson.

Completely agree. I'd also throw Watson in for a few consecutive games.

It's obvious senior players like Pev and Bolton are currently taking us nowhere, so i can't see a loss in performance.

Agree re watson he needs a good month and a half of senior footy.

I love Pev's heart but if he can't shut down an opposition midfielder then he is no good to us. A free wheeling pev getting 20 touches does not hurt the opposition his low skill level is part of the problem holding our midfield back. As much as i hate to say it if he cant sit on opponants like he used to and close them down then we may as well de-list him.

Id like to see come the end of the year a centre line of Winderlich Stanton Dyson. All quick and plenty of run and carry to go with some skill.

Liked the way Ricky used his body yesterday. No longer the footballer that was considered too soft by many at the Knights. Definately made a physical impact around the footy.

His decision making wasn't great, but that is to be expected. Hopefully he can begin to rectify that with 6 weeks of senior footy.

That pick up in the last quarter was magic, should have finished though.

He makes the opposition defense panic with the depth in his kicks. We need to channel more forward thrusts through him

I almost had to do a double take when i saw that. Only Hird and our Aboriginal players are meant to do that.

I'm worried he'll be dropped again though :(

No doubt...sheeds wants to drop some senior blokes to make an example. Dyson, stanton and bradley are in the gun then.

I can't fathom why he isn't being used like this. It's obvious how important a quality tagger is for a team (see Pev's early career and Brady Rawlings) and we've tried to turn one of the very best into an average midfielder.

Last week i saw one of the stupidest things i've ever seen on a football field. Lovett was running off half back with Pev next to him and for some absurd reason Pev called for the recieve and Lovett obliged, and by the time the ball reached Pev Lovett was already 5 yards ahead of him, and it was in the hands of a bloke with a lot worse disposal. I don't think the man knows his limitations.

Namely Solomon. He needs a kick up the arse.

I think he needs to be rested. His knee is shot and he needs to rest it to settle it down or have surgery. We cant make the finals so playing him hurt makes no sense. We need a fit and firing Solly in our team so lets get him right for next year.

:D

Lovett needs to run with the footy more also. He seems content to pull up and tread water with the ball and spot up a short option. If i was sheeds id be telling Lovett, stanton , dyson and winderlich(if he's playing) to use their pace out of congestion or in space to break the game up.

Teams know we like to use the football by foot. We dont run hard enough and take teams on which makes iut easier for opposition defenses to read the ball coming in. Its amazing how many teams panic when you can break a line with pace then pump the thing in long and direct.

He needs brain surgery. Absolutely appaling some of the stuff he dished out yesterday. To think that he's in the 'leadership group'. What toss.

Hahaha. That was pretty funny.

i agree 100%, but i also think a lot of thats born out of frustration that he cant do what he used to re his body. He is not the same player he was in 99-2001 and its getting to him. He is a better player than the rubbish he's been serving up this year.

In the defence of the coaching staff, I think the reason that came about was because we lost Long, Misiti, Blumfield, Caracella, Heffernan, Mercuri etc.
Our midfield depth was gone.

We then had ordinary drafts, blokes like Bullen, Bannister, Walsh, Davis, Davies etc, the guys who should have replaced the blokes mentioned above didn't come on and we were left with what is a well known hole in our midfield.

That meant that in the space of 12 months Pev had to go from a tagger to a ball winner.

We have now found a couple of very good midfield prospects, and probably have another 2-4 that need an opportunity. For me that means one of two things for Pev, he goes, or he re-invents himself as a hard nosed tagger again. I definately think there is a case for him to do the latter.

Bolton has to go this week , for a senior guy he just wasnt in the play at all.
Pev ,as much as i hate to say it, is as useless as **** on a bull at the moment. He has gone from a hard tagging in and under guy to a **************** outside player with limited skills.
Bullen , we might as well have played with a 21 man squad, next please.
Solly , he is travelling poorly. He has had a shocking season and really he probably need to have all his injuries fixed now and have him ready for pre season.

I agree with this , he is useless as an outside guy. Simply doesnt have the skills and we already have Murphy to cover that sort of role.

agree 100% on Pev, Bolts & Bull.............going nowhere

however i reckon Solly must stay in the side to give us some vigour if needed..........yes he is crap atm but he is too valuable a player to be dropped.

Last year after it looked like our season was finished, Sheedy decided to play the kids in our Friday Night game against the Pies in Round 20 and after being criticised by everyone the previous week we come out and kick 9 first quarter goals in the wet to set up a solid win. With our season definately over, I think Sheeds needs to consider doing this again/

Next week COULD be one of our few chances of getting another win this year, take a few risks at the selection table and see what happens. Only bragging rights are on the line here.

Out: Bolton, Solomon, Peverill, Laycock, Bullen

In: McPhee/Richards, Watson, Winderlich, Cartledge, Monfries

OUT:
Bolton is just no good. Sorry to say it, I have complimented him when he's played well but he is no good. How he can get a game week in week out while Watto doesn't is beyond me.

Solomons getting to undiscipliened. And he hasn't been that good either. Isn't adding that much to the side. Played well on Gehrig a few weeks back, but thats it. Week in the 2s could do him good.

Peverill hasn't done anything all year. Time to give a young midfielder a few weeks in the engine room to see what can they do. We know Monfries is capable, lets give Winders some decent game time, rather than just 10 mins each quarter.

Laycock injured.

Bullens gone at the end of the year. Surely.

IN:
McPhee is needed back. If he doesn't come up then Richards deserves a gig in the team. He's been in good form for a while now.

Wattos been good in the VFL all year and Bolton is NOT doing enough to keep Watson out of the team. Lets give him Boltons role and see what he can do.

Winderlich is fast which is what we need. Lets give him some decent game time and see what he's capable of.

Cartledge is going to be thrown in the deep end this week. He's going to go head to head with Fraser and C2. Big test for him.

Why was Gussy dropped? He's skilled and hard at the ball. He's what Solomon should be giving us, hardness around the ball.

Cartledge, Richards , Hunt and Winderlich would all be chances of coming in depending on how the tribunal goes. All four where very good today for Bendigo.
