Toast Inside Briefing Night

I'm a little surprised this hasn't already posted by someone else. I can't be the only BF tragic there last night.

Top evening by the club, and a nice privilege for Captains Club members. Buttifant, Malthouse, and SOS all interviewed by Andy Maher for about 45m, with as much again for questions from the floor. Much smarter questions than you normally hear at AGMs too.

Anyone else here turn up?

No I wasn't there, but heard a bit about it on SEN this morning.. Maher wouldn't go into much details but said some of the questions asked by the members were quite full on and to the point... eg: Asking SOS why he thinks he's the right man to take our list forward considering with his plethora of high picks at GWS it was a ride in the park... or specific questions about certain players...

would love if you could fill us in a bit on what was asked said..

I got an email from the club. It was a Captains Club only event, so maybe that's why. About 100+ attended, but room for another 50 I reckon. If you're a CC member and didn't get an email, I'd remind the club you exist.

SOS did get a curly one and handled it reasonably well. Pointed out that they managed to trade late picks for much higher spots in subsequent drafts, so it wasn't all early picks. Nothing about replacing Rogers.

Jake Bradley and the S boys were brought up, but not Bailey Rice. Not sure if that means anything.

It was probably the captains club premium members only, I remember reading they get some of these non match day access. I'm pretty sure I'm captains club reserved.

Did make me laugh, but in fairness, I don't have a problem with people who pony up the big dollars to get access a bit above and beyond my $80 interstate lanyard membership. Just not ALL the time....
