Posted this here because it’s not important enough to be posted on the Adelaide board. I like the magazine but some of the player ratings (amongst other things) are a complete joke.

For instance before the bye when we played North Melbourne, Griffin smashed McIntosh in the ruck and yet they both got a rating of 6. Not sure how they worked that one out.

Last week vs Melbourne, Jericho got 6. Not only did he only show up for a quarter but Porplyzia also only got a 6. 22 possessions, 3 goals v 11 possessions 3 goals. How they came to the conclusion to give them both 6 is beyond me.

Our ruckmen were also crucified. Griffin got a 3, Maric a one, the lowest vote possible because they don’t give zeros. Judging by the rankings you would’ve thought we were slaughtered out of the middle. Mackay only got a rating of 2? Sure he didn’t have his best game but a 2?

That brings me to their SANFL recaps.

Two weeks ago Jericho played for Norwood, his first game in 4 weeks. Their little summary, “Best game in some time”. Really!? Walker’s comment, “Battled hard but not his night”. That’s just the thing, he didn’t battle hard.

Sorry to bump and old (dud) thread, however I really have a problem with Inside Football at times. I like the magazine but seriously, they make a ridiculous amount of mistakes.

Richard Douglas' summary last week: Low possession winner but kicked two important goals.

Ummm, try 0.2.

And Aaron Kite's recap last week: Played a strong game in defence.

Probably played 20 minutes of 110 in defence...

How is it possible to get things so wrong and to frequently get things so wrong. If you're going to do recaps of the local games which I think is a great feature, at least get your facts straight. And is it hard to check your facts and see Douglas didn't kick a goal?

I have never read the magazine. Like many people on here, I rely on you for my info on players' form and performances

I recommend that you write a scathing letter to the editor pointing out the most recent and most glaring errors. Who knows ... you may get a job out of it?
