Must be something in the water tonight.

Some genuinely stupid comments being tossed around here.

Sure thing.

Kerr was our principle ball winner and created a heap of play for those around him, teams then had to curb the influence of Judd and Cousins as well as other hard running midfielders.

Kerr then had more freedom to hit teams on the outside.

Judd now carries Carlton and feeds the two
seagulls that float around him.

Cousins is as hard running as ever but is so often without any support.

What a stupid comment.

Stupid yes.

But Kerr has always been a burst player, Ablett hits with greater consistency around the ground but often with little impact.

Just out of intrest when was the last time Judd or Ablett kicked 4 goals in a game?

in the heraldsun they also have a graphic with our best 22 displayed and they didn't have eric mackenzie in there team (nor in emergencies)....

is that a pretty poor oversight or i have i missed something over the off-season??

I know he was injured/sore towards the end of the year, but surely he's still considered as one of our best defensive stoppers??

It definitely would be a real shame if Kerr never got back to his form of 2005/6. We know that he is still capable of influencing games to that extent, just have a look at the game vs Port at Subi last year. His best is brownlow level for sure.

matt man: i completely agree. i remember that port game especially when he was running towards the 50 took on the player, completely wrong footed him and then slotted in the goal. kerr is easily top 4 at his best. As it's been said constantly if guys liek masten, shuey, ebert etc really step up there game, kerr will will be able to break through for some great form. expect a huge year from kerr

MoraMora... you support Fremantle, you think your opinion actually counts here?

Kerr at his best is incredible and along side the best in the competition. Theres a level where players like Judd, Ablett and Voss sit above the other A graders, Kerr's best is at that level.

His consistancy unfortunately is not at there level, and thats the difference.

Unless it was his doppelganger, the consistency issues may have something to do with the condition he presented himself in at the Saturday night AC/DC concert (definiately not alcohol) and his verbal run in with the boys in blue (which had him acting as a tool and being dragged off by the female he was with).

I apologise unreservedly if there is a DK look-a-like out there but it was very similar to an incident at the Rotto Pub that I also witnessed and clearly not out of character.

The key issue here is not DK, as he is clearly not mature enough to sort these issues out, but rather that WC must know this type of thing is still happening and he is rapidly losing trade value.

Take your hand off it, champ :)

How well does Kerr go when he receives the number one tag? I think Ablett handles it alright week in week out...

FWIW I really hope Kerr does get back to his best as I love the way he goes about his business. As tough as they come.

Mate Kerr's best is better than abblet's best. Abblet is better at beating the tag however Kerr was so good they use to double team against him and also bash and crash him to the max. Woosha did complain about it only to be met with deaf ears. I'm sure if it happened to Abblet he may have a sook and cry and as a result umpires would more than likely protect him where as Kerr unfortunately let's idiocy get the better of him and ends up doing something stupid.

Has he broken a law? was he charged with anything? If not... F**k off.

Love him as a footballer for the most part, but he's a massive prick of a person. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

Amazing that everyone owns a mobile these days, most of which have video-capturing abilities, yet there is never any evidence of such things.

As I said, he has done nothing illegal FFS. Multiple players have been accused of Assault and R*pe in recent times and we are worried about someone wrestling with mates?

Kerr's been tipped to have a stellar year in 2010 for awhile now, and Glass has just reconfirmed that..

i suspect with the other mids on the rise, and more bulked up,and attracting some of the heat, he'll find more room to move and be at his creative best..he should also inspire the other mids to raise their game,if they can see him at his electrifying best..

i dont wish to focus on his other character traits,(a maturity thing?),and hope he has an injury free season ,if he's not getting bashed+crashed so much..

I suppose you were able to note that my comment was made in response to an observation regarding DK lack of consistency. Linking off field behavior to on field consistency (or lack thereof) which in part comes from injury management, is not a big stretch.

He can be a tool of the highest order and I have seen it twice now (note my post was before the story hit the media) and surely I am able to pass comment on the WC board if I genuinely believe it affects the performance of the team.

His 08 and 09 seasons have truly been inspiring!

He has been playing up for years, and his form has gone up and down during that time with injuries being the main factor rather than any off-field matters. Our worst performer off-field was arguably our best ever player, so I do think it is a bit of a stretch linking form and behaviour.

Spot on. Injuries really cut him down.
