How friggin patronising. Did you have a good look at the stats yesterday?

Dean Cox: 15K, 15H, 7M, 36HO
Quinten Lynch: 12K, 2H, 6M, 3HO

Josh Fraser: 9K, 8H, 9M, 5HO
Chris Bryan: 11K, 4H, 9M, 15HO

Not average, equal to Josh and that doesn't take into consideration his defensive presence (lovely contested marks to stop West Coast chances at goal), his goal assists and his bear-like attack on the ball. I don't even care that he gave away 50 after Pendles' goal - he was sticking up for his teammates and showed a lot of fire.

FFS, he's an AFL standard ruckman who's getting into his stride. Cox is a freak and there's few (except maybe Sandilands) who can give him a serious challenge. And he's a bloody cheat too (did you see the highlights where he grabs the opposing ruckman's tap arm so he can't get a good swing?).

That comment above is the sort of rubbish I'd expect a Herald Sun columnist to write.

But I like to patronise  Its what I do

Let me say it again. Both of our ruckman were SLAUGHTERED in the ruck on the weeked. Fraser was ordinary. Nothing new there. For all the talking up of his game in the exhibition match – and it was good – he is beaten in the ruck almost every single week and he’s been at it for more than 8 years now. Bryan was at least physical and did some good work around the ground and off the ball. He even won some ruck contests and a couple of times punched the ball forward. He beat Lynch. Cox was dominant in the ruck and around the ground. I like Bryan’s attitude but his skill set just isn’t up to scratch.

Our rucks are our biggest weakness. If Wood is a front line ruckman soon then we ease that a bit but as it stands now we do not have a single AFL quality front line ruckman and it may well cost us ANOTHER important final.

I have been saying this for years.......... Its the uneducated who cant see that!
