Interesting crowd comparison

I love both. It's easier for me to get to the G, and obv it's our home but that doesn't stop me from going to Etihad. Wondering if it has anything to do with the fact level 1 is barely ever gen admiss? Very strict on it even when it's half empty.
That's another reason. Stadium nazis galore.

You're missing the point. People don't like the venue. It is a soul-less morbid boutique stadium that isn't even boutique. It's not the location, it's the venue. And it's not our home ground.

yep , all of that...A "G" game I generally don't think twice if all the planets are aligned..a game at etihad, is a genuine pain in the arse from parking, the whole shebang, I accept once in the ground all is good it's the logistics that grate on me...whether I go or not , I need to look at the road ahead ane earmark a couple of games...but don't question the passion MT, I went to sleep last night with images of Delidio on the back of my eyelids

If you love the tigers you go to the game. If you don't love them you will happily not go if the atmosphere isn't like the mcg

The stadium won't stop me from going. Why's it stopping you? :p

As one of the sensible poster said to you last year MT (i think it was tugga) there are people out there who may not being able to go to games but love the club more than others.
Is a homeless tiger nut less of a supporter than me just because i can renew my membership yearly while he cant afford it? He might've went to every game for 30 years straight before he went off the rails and lost everything while i may only get to 11 games a year for 10 years straight. Whos the real supporter in all this MT?
Who lets you be the judge on whos the best supporter and tries to demean others if they have other commitments?
Weather or not you are joking you shouldn't be making people feel less of a person than you if they cannot commit always to our games. People have other priorities in their lives. Some would rather a roof over their head than getting a tiger membership for the family while living in a commission flat.
I like your optimism and you are a entertaining poster MT but cmon be reasonable.

good post feral, the tiger fanaticism weaves it's magic in mysterious ways , I liken it to the eternal flame, it flickers through the darkest hours but NEVER goes out. Who are we to judge anyone, life is about a bunch of choices, ea to their own, I won't be so undignified to get drawn into a pissing contest on who is more diehard than who

good post,

noone would go with me on Sunday so I said bugger you all i'll go on my own, unfortunately I work every second weekend so I won't be going this week does this make me less of a supporter?

We drew almost 40,000 V the Swans yesterday whilst in 16th.

last time Collingwood played them at home whilst bottom 4 was in R19 2000. Attendance:33,182.

It'll be interesting to compare next weeks Freo crowd to previous Collingwood attendances in Melbourne VS Freo whilst not in the top 8. Collingwood have played Freo three times in Melbourne whilst bottom 8 since they stopped hosting them at Vic. park:

R8 1999 in 16th they drew 26,339.
R4 2004 in 12th they drew 34,416
R18 2005 in 14th they drew 26,582

Their Bottom 8 average is 29,112. We'll be shockingly disappointed to draw fewer than that next week. The situations are not directly comparable but just look at the potental we have to be massive if this team does the business.

We must really hate Etihad. :o Sometimes I hate living in Perth.

Official crowd: 25,707 at Etihad Stadium

^^^^that^^^^

surely there were more than 25,000 there tonight, the ground fits 55,000 and it was more than half full....

Punt Road Feral I agree sorta with your post. Not being able to go to games because of unavoidable reasons doesn't make someone less of a supporter. No one can honestly argue otherwise.

HOWEVER, funny how when we start winning the crowd goes up. It is those people who can get to games but don't go because of form or some other piss weak excuse (the stadium.. geez, really?) that can lead to accusations of people soft, fair weather etc..

Exactly.

I am a chef and until last year i could hardly get to any games due to working weekends. But now i am working in a pub in the city that does not open on weekends so i am able to go to every game (which i do) but i am still the same Tiger supporter that i always have been.

Sorry but if you don't go to our Etihad games, YOU ARE NOT A DIEHARD. End of story. I wouldn't even have to think twice whether the game was at the E or the G. You can't make any excuses

this really is a, look at me please look at me, give me a pat on the back attitude.

mate i dont take out a membership. i live interstate but i donate to the club every yr, usually much more than what an interstate membership would cost me.
most yrs i spend thousands getting my arse to melb to watch. yet your attitude is im not a real supporter. the club would be stuffed if all the so called unreal supporters got their backs up with big noting fools like you and stopped supporting altogether.

everyone is different and so are their circumstances you should respect that and acknowledge what they do do .instead we get the self plaudits and self congratlatory pats on the back.
yep look at me i demand you all acknowledge my commitment well we are all looking madone and shaking our heads in bemusement.
