Ive been thinking to myself

'If Jason Kidd played this season the equivelant to how Lebron James played, would he still be All NBA First team?'

I say yes, definately.

Lebron averaged 21/6/6 and didnt even make any of the all NBA teams if I remember correctly, he carried his team as a rookie, nearly turning the worst team in the NBA to 8th in the East.

If Lebron was some senior coming out of Duke or Kansas perhaps he wouldve got more recognition by the NBA for this amazing season.

Also Carmelo improved his team by 26 wins yet Dirk Nowitzki who had a bad season got an all nba 2nd or 3rd team spot ahead of him...

Carmelo contributed to the 26 win improvement, just as Andre Miller did, and just as Marcus Camby did (more consistent, less injuries).

You can't give Carmelo all the credit for the improvement.

Tough call though I don't neccessarily disagree, however ROTY is afairly big recognition for his achievements.

wouldnt be surprised to see him in the 2nd team next year.Apparently he is already in training for next season working on his outside shot.

Thats commitment to wanting to improve yourself.

Kobe and T-Mac will have to have great seasons to keep out Bron from All NBA 1st team honours IMO.
