"The competition has been in its current form since Port Adelaide joined the AFL at the commencement of the 1997 season. There are no surprises as to who has won the most matches since then.

Since round one, 1997, Essendon has won the most matches. The Kangaroos have won the second most. But the surprise is the team that slots into third - the Western Bulldogs. They have won more than Brisbane has, more than Adelaide and more than Carlton."

I didn't know that.

Interested what you make of his views re motivation of our senior players.

I have no doubt that a low finish this season would reignite there hunger.Anyone who has played the game will tell you there is nothing more motivating than watching the finals from the sidelines.I cant see them copping that two years in a row.You often find a team will need to cop a bit of a loss of respect from the general public and media before they come out firing again.
