The fact that we have a majority of players over 25, and the least in the AFL in terms of 20-24, is that a sign we should be expecting a lean period coming up?

If you break it down further, 17 out of those 18 players are between 25-29 years old, with only David Neitz being 30+. So we aren't a team of veterans, but we do have a lot of experience. When these players begin to exit the game in 5 years time, our group of teenagers will be ready to take over the mantle. So even though we are short on 20-24 year olds, it doesn't seem anything too serious. I am quite happy with our list at the moment.

Well, at some stage we will have to pick a team and go with it, if we just keep setting up a team for future years its not likerly we will have any success. we should be right for the next 4 to 5 seasons but will definently have to draft wisely in the coming years to make sure we don't drop too far. we have a few tall/kpp in the developing at the moment, aswell as the like of brock, sylvia, moloney and jones to hopefully keep the midfield going.

The fact that we have been at the top or close to the top of the ladder in both 2004 and 2005 suggests that we can match it with the big boys. Hopefully, the addition of Pickett to the team and the general development of guys like Miller, Rivers, Ferguson, Carroll, McLean, Sylvia and Davey will make us premiership contenders as early as this September. Like you said demon_12, no need to look at the future for glory, when we should be focusing on 2006.
