I've just moved and as a result I now have really fast Telstra cable internet. I've had no problems with the internet on any other devices (iPad, iPhone's, Xbox).

I'll start using my Acer Laptop with Windows 7 and all of a sudden it will lose connection to the router and try to reconnect and it will say that I'm connected to an unidentified network with no internet access. Most of the time I just have to disconnect manually from the network and reconnect and it works again but it can be a pain when watching streams and other videos.

I do not have this problem when at school using their network and I never had this problem with my old Netgear router.

Anyone know how to fix it?

Never had the problem before on his previous internet service, doesn't experience the problem with the same lap top on other internet services, and I guarantee he simply doesn't spend the amount of time on the other devices to experience the problem as frequently, making him less likely to recognise the pattern.

As someone who uses "really fast Telstra cable internet" I am telling you it's Telstra. Mine will do it to me on average every day or so, sometimes it will last for 30 seconds, sometimes the problem will be intermittant over a 5-10 minute period. Telstra is Telstra.

As I said, it sounds like an issue with the supplied cable modem (which wouldn't have been in use at the previous location). Could be as simple as a wifi client limit, but the OP needs to look into getting access to their modem settings, or look into connecting their old router to the cable modem and using that for routing/wifi instead.
