Instead Richmond stoppages coach Danny Daly joins Andy to discuss, amongst other things, the preseason, who is training the house down, Danny's new role and how the club uses statistics.

Interesting that we are really very good as far as data goes. Really good data analysis and smart management can lead to significant insight and improvement. But good data + poor management = crap, although poor data and good management can be good outcomes, but often lacks the real insight good data analysis can give. I am a data analyst and i know very well that you shouldn't believe in data without really knowing what it means. So that we lead is amazingly good.

And Kamdyn MacIntosh training the house down is great. On drafting he appeared to have great upside. If he comes through it'll add a nice tall outside running machine to improve the midfield. And Dusty doing well "running improved out of side", Vlastuin good preseason etc - very nice.

Great interview Andy. What I love is the fact that we are looking into the contested ball/possessions as when we do get over ran, we simply cant get our hands the ball much, which in tern makes our defence look ordinary( think the pies/cloke). With another better 2nd ruck(hampson) and more training at hard ball gets will only improve our play. Only goes to show, while we all op's about our poor areas of play, the club clearly know what we need to improve.
