didn't know if there was an introductions thread already set up on the beautiful game forum, so i've just started my own. just thought it would be the right thing to do before i start unintentionally trolling, and so you can gather why i have the views that i have.

28yo, sydney aust.

i fanatically support the devils of milan first & foremost, but i do have a soft spot for the devils of manchester as well, only because of the constant earbashing and attempted brainwash i've received from the old man since i was 4. going back through the photo album, it appears he dressed me in some sort of merchandise with manchester united emblazoned on it at every opportunity. anyhow, at least his enjoying the success again, they were liverpool's and just about everyone elses b*tches in the 70's & 80's.

i generally follow every major league in europe, have a fantasy team on the official premier league website www.premierleague.com and going absolute sh*thouse. but if it wasn't for walker's 'brain explosion' last weekend as mickey adams put it, i could have had a 60+ score for the week.

i have a couple of mates in the nsl and another few in the nsw premier league. i'm just a hack who loves the game.

19, from Adelaide

United supporter - started out as a bandwagoner in 1995 (doesn't everyone though?) but as the years have gone by it's evolved into a genuine love of the club. Went over earlier in the year to visit family and saw United vs Charlton live, where Ruud hit a memorable hatrick :) That was an experience in itself, and I'll definitely be going back over there sometime in future, hopefully in the next year or so.

Love the game too, a lot of fun visiting Adelaide United games at Hindmarsh and trying to start all sorts of Premier League chants with the other idiotic supporters like myself.

AC Milan - reigning Euro champs
Man U - reigning Premier League champs

Nice Bandwagoning their big guy. Brisbane lions fan too????

Just kidding, welcome aboard mate.;)

AC Milan, a man of good tastes ;)

And from Newtown, the land where ferals rule. And graffiti is left-wing as opposed to racist.

Have you had a look at Gabriel's cafe in Swanton St Erskineville. The owner is a devout Manc and has jerseys and pictures around his wall.

Wearing my Fc Bayern shirt in there after a United loss always draws a reaction out of him, which is nice.

i know what you mean, i'm scepticle of most as well.

no not really, mate. i'm a working class catholic boy. follow richmond in afl. started supporting them in the mid 90's during superleague up here in sydney. the area probably resembled my surrounds in sydney the most so jumped on their losing bandwagon. but i love them now and love the game and not at all upset that i didn't start supporting collingwood or essendon. and the swans were completely out of the question - bloody chardonnay set a lot of 'em - north shore/eastern suburbs types. i'll be richmond till i die.

newtown used to be my team in rugby league, but they disappeared from the top flight in '84 and came back in the mid-90's in the metro cup (bit like the vfl today). i do get out to henson park to watch the jets play everynow and again, but it's just not the same for me and my dad. we used to go and watch every game. it took ages for my dad to get over it. i feel for all fitzroy supporters as i know how they feel. i tend to ride the fortunes of south sydney in the nrl these days but it ain't the same. my dad just gave up on supporting a league club altogether. the rabbits were the next club in the vicinity and my junior league club at the time got integrated with their district when i used to bum-sniff.

your right, the rossoneri were succesful last season, but it's been a tough few years since the penultimate piece of major silverware in '96. Still wear the shirt around with 'Baresi 6' on the back. man utd is all cos of dad and his ramblings. I dunno, perhaps I rebelled by supporting a club from a different league, just so I could talk about something he didn't have a clue about.

luckily, milan are a team of the workers. Inter (i hate those b*stards) are the establishment's club (particularly during Mussollini's reign). this is probably fuzzled these days as moratti is a leftie and berlussconi is on the right. but i did get into them during the days of the three flying dutchmen & scudettos & european cups so you maybe you got me there. van basten, a wonderful career cut short.

when I was in london last year I lived in Leyton so watched a heap of West Ham games so now I'm keen on nationwide divi 1 as well.
"Oh East London, Oh East London, is wonderful, is wonderful, oh East London is wonderful, it's full of ****, fanny & West Ham oh East London is wonderful."

born & bred newtown. it's gone through a heap of change over the last 20yrs but still a great place. to be honest, i'm usually confined to king st and the camperdown side of newtown, but i'll head into erko and check it out. i used to play some junior league at erko oval with carrington.

anyway, looking forward to slinging some mud on all opposition.
