The victorian Brisbane Lions fan site seems to have quite a bit of discussion on Baird as well.I pulled up the last 100 times his name has been mentioned on the site and managed to find some pictures of him in action.Seems to have a bit of a reputation as a high flyer and if you go the the bottom of the page there is a picture of him going for a bi hanger.

Didn't seem to work but if you to the Brisbane Lions board on that site then you can do a search for Baird and you will find everything on him.

I'd heard that there was a dispute over whether he came from Donald or Charlton, and I understand the sensitivities of our country cousins when city slickers talk too fast and show their ignorance of important details, but I didn't think a journo from up there would live long if she didn't get things right, see below

Western Bulldogs media manager Scott Clayton said the club was delighted to pick up Baird, whom the club considers as a ready-made senior player.

So is that a promotion or a demotion for Clayton? I presume Rebecca O' Reilly will be in charge of recruiting from now on. I'm all for multi-tasking, me, the organisation will be stronger for it despite the inevitable mistakes made in the short term.

defiantely the most intriguing import to the club. Monty is a known factor and the other draftees wont play.

Baird is the one that could have a real impact for us this year.

Higgins might get a couple of games.

Wouldn't it be great to see Williams at CHB and someone like Baird at CHF with Darcy resting in the square. That kind of structure unseen at the Dogs in many years.

When was the last time we had a FB,CHB,CHF and FF over 193cm in the same season?
