I'd say that Suze can start packing her bags because I reckon she's just spent her last night in the mansion.

Yep agree. They are all great but Susie has just never really grabbed me. No one performance of hers really stands out to me. I'm sure some of you'll disagree but hey makes the final four easier for me.

I am so going to miss the performance shows. Just love 'em!!

For me Mig or Marty just have to get the job. JD is very good but just don't like him but I think OBI (Our-Band-INXS) like him alot which worries me.

Can't wait for next week but don't really want it to end.

Does anyone know what the format for next weeks show will be ? Is it the final week and they will all sing INXS songs ? Or will one of the final 3 be eliminated and then it's down to 2 for the week after ?

I don't want to check the official site for the answer because it will have this weeks elimination result.

I honestly thought Mig could go tonight. I get the feeling that for some reason INXS don't particularly like him. They probably kept him around for the Aussie factor in the final. I think JD will win. INXS seem to really like him and his performance of By Your Side tonight was outstanding I thought.

I'm crushed. One could argue that Suzie and the other female singers were only there to give the impression it was a true contest because they agree she has the best voice of all of them, and that they were never going to give her the gig regardless. However, final four has guaranteed that we will be seeing Suzie McNeil in some capacity in the future. I love her voice and will buy whatever she puts out. I am less inclined to watch the final show now but probably will.

Mig didn't impress me tonight despite INXS saying he delivered. JD has the ability to duplicate the tone of INXS songs, probably more to do with his Elvis impersonation days more than anything. I will not buy anything from INXS with JD in it though (at least that's how I feel right now).

Go Marty and Mig.

Saw this show for the first time the other night.

Mig = complete arsewipe. What a waaaanker.

I'll vote for the other guy (maybe JD) with short black hair who had the standout original song. The blonde pretty boy looks the favourite but on the show I saw his voice was a bit weak and his original song that he wrote and performed sucked di ck. Probably Mig's. A happy camper who's surprisingly married. <scratches my beard>

Funnily enough, ever since he told them he'd been in every musical under the sun - "I played Danny Zuko in Grease! *gay smile*" - and had never been in a real band in his life the whole Aussie cobber bond thing seems to have evaporated quicksmart.

On Tuesday his rendition of Paint It Black was laughable and tonight he absolutely butchered What You Need, so he's only into the final by the skin of his teeth... I reckon Kirk might have a thing for Willem Dafoe.

Great to see Suzie finally go though. Gave new meaning to the term 'one dimensional' and was only slightly less overrated than Jordis.

J.D. for the win. Marty to front Noiseworks.

Mig just simply isn't a rocker. As the show has gone on, his performances and moves have looked fabricated and rehearsed, which I guess was bound to happen given his theatre experience.

Marty has had to change his style to suit the band, which is not a good sign. If he's not right for the band being himself, then it just won't fly.

So JD will win. He sings INXS well, can write his own material and is a hit with the (female) crowd.
But I expect to read in 6 to 12 months time that "he's departed due to creative differences" which of course is the sugar coated version of "he's been booted out of the band because the rest of us can no longer stand the slimey, pompous, egotistical knob".

Yeah Mig is kinda losing the plot atm. He is now really coming off fake and acting like a complete tosser when performing.

JD is probably going to win because he seems to have the voice that INXS are after, but i agree that he will be out within 12 months of joining up due to him being such a tosspot.

Mig did say that he was in quite a number of bands in amongst all of his stage productions. And no matter waht they call themselves, INXS are largely a pop band, as opposed to a rock band. The distinction I know is subjective, but INXS tend to write dancey pop numbers or introspective ballads, and as such a pop singer like Mig would probably suit their music perfectly. Don't expect me to go and watch them though. But then again, I never did after about 1983 anyway.

Marty - well, when they one day decide to do "Rockstar:pearl Jam", he'll be the man. He's a rock singer, and a damn good one. That said, his vocals are most unsuited to INXS's back catalogue. Do your own thing Marty.

JD - I just can't get over seeing him as an Elvis impersonator, and that clearly comes through in his lower register vocals. I suspect he will get the gig as he seems to have a more edgey personality, and that kind of "bad boy" persona he tends to show I think is quite appealing to the market-savvy INXS lads.

Suzie never had a chance being female. Like Marty and Jordis, it probably would have stifled her musical progression anyways.

Alright guys, you're Mark Burnett for a day, and you are planning "Rockstar 2".

What I want you to do is come up with a suitable band to find a new vocalist for. Whether that is due to an untimely rock'n'roll death, or some other loss of a frontman/woman, give me a prospective rock/pop act to use for Season Two.

Obviously "Rockstar : Nirvana", "Rockstar : Powdermonkeys" or "Rockstar : The Doors" would never happen, due to a plethora of factors. But there may be others out there who could benefit from a new lead singer and a healthy dose of cheap publicity.

I'll start precedings.

"Rockstar : Van Halen"

dont think INXS were impressed with Mig's shirt ripping antic, he bounces to much on stage like a pony.
Yeah you can tell by the cut shots back to INXS that they aren't favouring Mig that much anymore. They just look rigid and non responsive to his antics.

I have to agree that Mig's shirt ripping etc is getting a little old, it's almost as if he feels that's his only way of proving himself as a "rockstar". But I did really enjoy his "What You Need" - I think he naturally sings like Michael without impersonating him like JD.

JD to my horror has improved and I think he'll win. INXS seem to be drooling over Pretty Vegas.

Even though Wes is Back .... i reckon

ROCKSTAR - LIMP BIZKIT would be the go .

Imagine the highjinks Fred would get up too looking for another axeman .

I reckon it would end up looking like Rockstar meets WWF

On Mig, I still think he is a big chance of winning this. Having avoided the bottom 3 for so long, he is obviously the most popular candidate from the people who will be buying INXS' next album - so I think INXS will put a lot of emphasis on that.

Marty is great, but simply isn't INXS. I'm sure we won't have heard the last from him when he gets eliminated next week though.

It's between JD and Mig for mine. It is hard to split 'em, it is really going to come down to which direction INXS want to go in and if they are willing to roll the dice on JD who IMO could potentially become a pretty controversial character in the music biz.

I'll stick with JD as I have said for a while now. Mainly because Tim Farriss likes him more than Mig, and I reckon he has the most pull within the band.

If we're talking about situations where the lead singer has left for whatever reason and the rest of the band was keen to go on, then there are probably too many to mention.

Soundgarden, Rage Against The Machine, Alice In Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Mother Love Bone, Smashing Pumpkins

That's 6 off the top of my head but there would be heaps more...
