Saw this at the nearest gym today...

 wow. first time I have seen a gyarados at all.... other than on the loading screen

Anyone been to Etihad with this? Much near by? Reachable from the seats? :D
Neither Igloo or I could find much. A few Pokestops around the outer ring but couldn't hit any from our seats.

So the little brother and I went down to our local gym/pokestop location to train at the red gym and attempt to battle at the blue one, only to find someone had defeated the blue and left it unattended. We sprinted over to claim it and left a 581 Pincer (mine) and a 650 Flareon (his). Left it thinking that we'd get the critters back in 20 mins (it's a high turnover gym), however, half an hour later we've found that it's not only still ours, but also been levelled up twice. Good night all up I reckon

Also, I've noticed that the gym graphic changes depending on its level. At level 1, it'll just be the stage with a Pokemon on it, at level 2 there's a little mini stage in the tower/light beam thing. At 3 there's another and so on. The little stages also make it taller as can be seen in the picture

Ok, so the strongest Pokemon in the game by CP are ranked:

Dragonite
Snorlax
Lapras

Arcanine, Exeggutor, Vapereon
Gyrados
Muk
Flareon

Then on and on...

All the hard core players will be collecting Dragonites, however any of those top 3 are
great.

This only ranks CP gain per level. Chansey for example has huge HP gain. Other Pokemon will have fast attack speed.

I wish there was some sort of "practice mode" where you can practice throwing Poke Balls at targets or something. I'm always hesitant to practice the curve balls when actually catching Pokemon because of wasted balls/risk of it fleeing, but would like to get better at it for the extra xp.

As an extension to this, daily minigames for xp/items is the logical next step imo.

I reckon all the 3 stage evolutions will be as big as the dragonites.

I'm level 22, I've got a 690cp oddish, the Vileploom would be 2000cp+

I've got a 590 charmander, the Charizard would be huge.

Vileploom, Victrebell, Charizard, Venasaur, Blastoise, Nidoking etc look all as potentially big as Dragonites

They really need to add a "sort Pokemon by Alphabet" option
You can, you can also sort/order by Recent, Favorite, Pokedex Number, HP and CP ;)

In your pokemon list screen click the icon in the lower right and you can choose how to order them.

For the Perth people, the best collection of Pokespots? Kings Park? CBD? Northbridge? My area has a decent amount but it's getting a bit samey.
Huge amount of people at kings park apparently so must be alright.
