CA's big cash cow, looking more like a cash melon every day

To borrow from Paul Kelly;

"In the land of the little kings"
"Profit is the ony thing"
"And everywhere the little kings..are"
"gettin' away with murder"

I'm flabbergasted that CA would just burn a great existing competition with years of history and rivalry albeit in a new format for a soulless mickey mouse competition that at the end of the day means to quote Rex Hunt "Jack Schizen".

But the proof will be in the pudding - but I cannot see how it will make money based upon the above and why you would want to invest.

But hey, that's just me a disillusioned cricket tragic.

Once my hero, always my hero. At near on 40 as well.

Hopefully I can see some highlights soon. This will probably be his last big knock, not sure how long there is to go in the tournament but it may be one of his last innings too.

Just head to the Youtube page. All the highlights are uploaded.

I still backing Chennai for the title. MS Dhoni as captain means they will do well in pressure situations and then add a very well balanced team to the mix.

So basically Punjab with an outside chance. Will be interesting to see who qualifies and whether Mumbai end up with a double chance.

Me too.

Main reason I watch IPL is it's my only chance to see Gilly... and the Marsh boys too.

Interesting times ahead. Chennai and Bangalore are through and quite likely will get the double chance. Kolkota you would think are in with their superior run rate which leaves Mumbai and Punjab to fight it out. Mumbai if they lose both games could be out and apparently there is an injury cloud surrounding Tendulkar' shoulder.

Also Tendulkar (assuming fit) will take on Warne for the final time tonight. Group stages finish up on Sunday. I will probably end up watching the final series which should be good.

Banglore on fire v Chennai 109/7. Will take top spot if they win. Zaheer Khan 4 overs, 1 maiden 2-19. Dhoni however is batting well amongst the sinking ship. 51* off 32 balls.

Tonights games are a dress rehearsal of the finals with these four confirmed finalists about the Deccan Chargers lost last night.

Chennai through to the final with a great knock from Raina under pressure chasing. Needed 82 from 42 and then 58 from 24.

Bangalore now to play the winner of Mumbai v Kolkata for a spot in the final.

Very hard to not back the MS Dhoni led Chennai. Very well balanced team.

Come on Mumbai, big game for them, considering they have been struggling badly the last few games.

Bit of a one sided final, seems most of the games have been this way this tournament, i barely managed to raise enough interest to watch the final, probably should have turned it off at the break. 205 was always going to be 30 runs too many at the least.

Good knock by Hussey though.

I only tended to tune in when Gayle was batting, because of the form he was in
