iPod touch "Push Notifications"

For some reason, even though I have all push notifications turned on on all my apps, they don't show up. The little numbers on the App Icon only work for Mail, and the Alerts that you would get for Facebook, Superfooty etc don't work at all. I use my home Wifi. I've seen them work on a mate's ipod so I don't know why it doesn't on mine.

Not the smartest person on the computer and don't feel like tinkering with anything but I know a bit.
I have already "reset all settings" and deleted the app and re-installed it (Superfooty). No luck so far - please help

That's strange mate, by the way Guernsey Historian? Serious?

Maybe reset the iPod by pushing the center and hold button at the top for 5 seconds or whatever then turning it back on, that might work.
