What do you people see happening in Iraq after they have an election and how long will it take for the US to leave Iraq?

Central Iraq will be the same for the next decade or so at least.

Longterm instability with some form of Islamic based Government taking power. Most likely based on the Iranian model.

Interesting quandry for the Yanks is whether they actually allow free elections in the sense of anybody can stand.

Let's say they do, and an Islamic fundamentalist Shiite party gets up. It immediately announces an "anschluss" with Iran. What does the US do?

Aside from this, the violence will continue anyway and the place is a basket case.
