Opinion Is Bont still our most important player?

I do not think the Bont is our most important anymore. Do not get wrong he is getting heavily tagged and he will work through it he is still a star but is slightly on the decline since 2023 where he had a stellar season even though he won 2024 B&F. However, I think Sam and Ed our are our 2 most important players now probably a good thing we do not need to rely on The Bont.

I like Harms he seems very aggressive and i do say he is a very good pick up as well

I think it's premature to say he's on any sort of decline. There are natural fluctuations in form even for players in their prime, and he had his most injury interrupted start to the season in years.

He's in the top handful. Lobb, Darcy, Bont, Richards and Dale all have a claim for most important imo.

Dale - the Architect of our ball movement. He's irreplaceable.

Lobb - our backline would be cooked without him.

Richards - statistically the best and most damaging player in the comp. Without him our midfield is slow.

Darcy - self-evident.

Bont - self-evident.

If he stays fit he’s going to be a problem. The Brisbane game was the biggest eye opener for me. Harris Andrews is probably the best best defender suited for a Darcy matchup and he wasn’t able to get close to Darcy’s highest point

I have doubts a guy that tall and agile is meant to play this game and I fear a bad injury will happen one day. Just praying to the footy gods that he gets a good run at it
